Question, any gringos or know any gringos who teach english at a school here in Costa Rica. What is neeeded to do this?

Just call a language school and ask them what they require for their job applicants teaching English.

Knowing how to spell first.....just kidding...

A teaching degree would help and a work permit. However I have had friends that have teached english for places under the table with no degree or work permit. But that was years ago. Any place that's worth your time is gonna require the degree and permit.
