The Geno signing makes Richardson a bit more palatable for a Seattle pick...

Hopefully they stay away
I don't think Pete is that stupid. He has aged well but Pete has to be near the end. He doesn't want to mess with an unintelligent poor work ethic fake qb

Can see a dumbass team trading up to 5. Like I say, it only takes 1

Love how they say

" he interviewed very well at the combine"

All of that bs is scripted. Agents know what questions will be asked and tell their guys. Honestly, at this point in 2023, if you have a bad combine, that is horrible. Everyone knows the tests, the questions, the medical, the wonderlic...

Combine is a joke now.

Remember when Baker Mayfield blew everyone away at the chalk board... Haha. He likely already knew what would be asked

`Seattle has a history of stupid early picks...I wouldn't put it past the organization to do it again...They love size freaks ...Don't make Pete take off his shirt again this draft.

I miss USC Pete.

I forget the draft and the player but Pete took him top 7. Was a linebacker and the entire media called him can't miss and the safest player in the draft. He ended up sucking

2011 was a beauty with James Carpenter
Shocked Nick Saban

2012 Bruce Irvin Linebacker might be the guy you are thinking of....... mediocre
13, 14 ,15, 17 no 1st round pick
2016 Germain Ifedi...They passed on his option.. sucked as well.
2018 Penny...Always hurt ..doubtful they resign him again.
2019 L J Collier... he might be out of the league?
2020 Jordyn Brooks still with the team out last year with a ACL
21 No pick
22 Charles Cross.. Might be the best first in YEARS

Some press in Seattle think the chances are decent they take him.
I think they trade down in the first..it's the MO for this group.

Aaron Curry was who I was thinking of
Sucked...

"Curry was widely believed to be the best linebacker available in the 2009 NFL Draft.[9] Considered a "safe pick", he was even in the debate for the No. 1 pick overall[10]—which would've made him the first linebacker selected first overall since Aundray Bruce in 1988. ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr. compared Curry to Keith Bulluck.[11]

Curry was drafted fourth overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2009 NFL Draft. He was the highest drafted linebacker since LaVar Arrington went second overall in the 2000 NFL Draft to the Washington Redskins, and the highest Wake Forest Demon Deacon since Norm Snead went second overall to the Washington Redskins in the 1961 NFL Draft.[12]''

  1. Young 93* is an accurate, incredibly mobile QB who runs only when necessary, played in a balanced passing offense, great supporting cast (though Bama QBs look better because they have a great OL, WRs, RBs), he will certainly be a starter for several years, maybe even 7-10 yrs, his size is of concern, though, especially if he plays on artificial turf and gets slammed to the ground by 325 lb HGH mutants
  2. Levis 93 will start for somebody in a year or so, great arm, big, strong, played in NFL style offense with weak supporting cast, runs when necessary only, IMO he will start for somebody for 7-10 yrs
  3. Stroud 90 has show the ability to throw accurately from the pocket and only run when necessary, great WRs and a strong running game behind him but the Ohio State system almost always results in a QB who flops in the NFL... the Georgia playoff game showed that he might be the exception
  4. Richardson 80 is not even close to being ready, has shown to be an inaccurate passer in his 13 games (not enough experience at all), is a run first QB (they rarely succeed in the NFL long term), he will bounce around to different teams for years but never will be a true starter for the team that drafts him despite trying to force it to justify the pick (Seattle would be insane to draft him, use Geno and wait for a better replacement in a few years)

None of these guys are worth a top 20 pick.

Its a bad qb draft but the media won't hear of it
