Snake draft using Fantrax. This is a post up contest.

Head to head, categories include SOG, G, A, PIM, +/-, PPP, Save #, GAA, SO, W

15 player roster, 12 active 3 reserve

100% of entree fees are paid out in the prize pool.

$125 each. If a ten team league: 4 make the playoffs, $600 for 1st, $300 for 2nd, $175 for 3rd, and $175 for best regular season record.

Hey guys, it's that time of year! I have setup the league. If we could all please check in here to confirm everyone's participation. I have set the draft date tentatively for;

Sunday October 8th, 2023 at 7:00pm MST (9:00pm EST)

If we could all have our payments sent in before the draft. I have merged the first 2 periods of the season for scoring purposes. As we did last year the season will end before the last week of the season to prevent teams sitting their best players. Any questions please ask them here or email myself or Vic.

I’m definitely in again and 10/8 works for me for the draft. Didn’t we up the entry fee last season to add payouts for being the top in certain categories or something like that.

Any chance we can get to ten this year? Teams are a bit stacked at only eight. I may have someone who would join, I’ll reach out to him, if needed.

My bad, I just copied and pasted from last year’s thread.

Providing we just get the eight players from last year the buy-in will be $156.25

Assuming we only have eight players and still want to pay $25 for each category we would need to add $31.25. Total from each player would be $156.25.

2nd $250
3rd $150
Presidents trophy $150
$25 for each category won

I went back and the first season of the league was 2008-09. So with the exception of the COVID shortened season (which we ended and returned all entry fees), I believe this will be the 14th season.

It is actually the 16th season including COVID year.

I’m guessing this is the longest running, and uninterrupted, contest at the Rx. Such dedication deserves a small contribution to our prize pool from the Rx powers that be. At least two new players to pass the torch on to.

Nice digging to find it’s been 16 years from the start. I wonder who were the original players? I know Sherwood and Bushay were a part of it.

In addition to Bushay & Sherwood, Barman was also an original player.

I also tried to go back and find the history of who won the league each year, but there's a big gap between 2010 and 2019 where I may only have one name. I have the last several years, as well as the first season, and maybe one other. I don't have the list handy right now.

I will see if I can get another player. My 11-year old had interest in playing (notice I said playing, not paying...that's my job), and possibly another friend (who oddly enough is also named Chris S., just like my other pal who is already in (Gilmore Happy).

Yup forgot about barman. Wannabe Whale was another. The name of our league was Pucks 'R Us for many years and I think WW created that. But not sure.
