how many games has the current Pitt coach and QB played in Philly during regular season...answer is 0. Not a very relevant stat.

Not saying the Reid stat is a lock on Pitt but it does have some relevance.
On the surface it potentially shows Reid doesn't put as much emphasis on the tougher AFC games and/or gets outcoached.

Steelers could very well miss playoffs, especially with injury. Just dont love that stat because its uncertain.

PIT isn't very good on the road, but I think this is an exception. Firstly, it's always good to bet against teams that have had a dogfight monday nighter the previous wk. And PHI is a little banged up from their battle with DAL. Plus, they're emotionally spent, so I can't see PHI getting up for this gm, esp vs that PIT "D". Secondly, this is an instate gm, so the road factor for PIT isn't much. Plus PIT has the best run "D" in the NFL, so I expect Westbrook to be neutralized, and more pressure on Mcnabb to throw. That doesn't sound bad at first, but without star WR's, PHI's "O" stalls w/out Westbrook. Plus plus, OG Shawn Andrews is doubtful.

So Reid's record vs AFC is pretty relevant. I think Gogo is right, he doesn't seem to put as much importance in the AFC matchups, especially in a short wk.

i dont know wormy, mcnabb looks like a mother fuker out there! He will throw over 300 yards no problem! Westbrook will get his screens, etc... for an easy Eagles WIN!

Jim Johnson will frustrate the aching BEN, who isnt really that good, with a poor offensive line. Big ben will throw at least 2 ints.

Yeah beater, plus both teams "O"s haven't been tested yet IMO. DAL "D" looks good on paper, but 2ndary not very. I'm mostly going on the short wk & HUGE gm the last wk.

Lol, I guess I can be your second insectile bud. Wait, are worms insects?

Ah, well, PIT is not my POW, as PIT isn't very good on the road in the Tomlin era. I guess the "D" plays to the crowd, or something. GL to the both of us!

I don't feel like copying down all the numbers but it would be well worth your time looking into the stats on Pittsburgh as the national headline dog vs. teams outside the AFC north when favored to outright own the north and on a streak. Its early to confirm a winning season/streak but the stat. is actually based more on a certain buzz / attitude of the city when underdogs which currently is underway and in full throttle.

This attitude was also achieved vs. the texans with events and a pregame ceremony honoring the late Myron Cope.

This season was just officially dedicated to Myron and with almost 10000 Steeler fans claiming tickets the terrible towel will infect Lincoln Financial this Sunday.

How about a poll.

Someone mentioned emotional dogfight, what do you think the Steelers/Browns game was? Pittsburgh was not sharp and the fact that Rothlesberger is far from a 100% and Philly defends the run extremely well, equalizing Parker, will frustrate the Steelers. On the flip side Eagles can and will use Westbrook in a variance of formations to get him the ball in open space. Believe I would rather back McNabb at home and know that Pitt will survive a loss being in the AFC central than Philly can afford a loss in NFC east with Giants and Cowboys sitting at 2-0.
Best of luck to all on Sunday games

pitt had that game the entire time. cle never had a lead and really didnt threaten pitt the entire game.

emotional dogfight was dallas/philly that went back and forth and a game that dallas pulled out a late win. tough one for philly as they had the game won

LOL, you are correct. One streak broken, another stays alive.
Congrats Birds fans...very gritty performance indeed.
