Lishy-I found the article and thought provoking.

After reading it, the first thing which came to mind is that lots of the things mentioned re: to the topic in the article do not exist in a vacuum but rather

are interrelated and dependent on one another-perhaps this is what system racism is really about.

The reality is that while the numbers and disparities are factual, many folks are obviously going to disagree on what caused the discrepancies, which

in turn will have a major effect on how to fix it.

Thus as I see it, there is no "cookbook" solution as to how to address and fix things especially quickly.

For example it is not a case of one's having their home destroyed by a tornado, where the obvious cause empirically speaking

is the high wind associated with the tornado, and then going ahead to build another home.

In the case of the unfortunate disparities you cited, it is not quite as easy as that because to use a medical term, there are pre-existing

conditions and thus trying to figure out how/what caused the pre-existing conditions in the first place needs to be addressed.

On the other hand, perhaps the pre-existing conditions angle should not given that much attention, but rather by everyone taking small

positive steps, see how they work out and dependent on how that goes, just building upon those and/or making the necesary adjustments.

In order to do this lots of people from all walks of life are going to have change their thinking to start the process to get the ball rolling.

I realize that all of this may sound very theoretical and/or "easier said than done."'
