Amazing Stat for the year (96-17 ATS) 85%

Has anyone else seen this stat............The team that has won the game in NFL this year is 96-17-1 ATS. Yesterday it went 10-2 with Indy and San Diego being the only winners that didnt cover the spread. Pretty much if you can chose the right side of the game SU, 85% of the time you are cashing!

been discussed many times. IMO 15% margin is a lot. That is also you would only hit 85% if you bet the board...

Question is, can you pick SU winners at a 70% rate? That's not particularly easy in the NFL.

That is exactly what the problem is.

It is not any more easy to pick SU winners at 70% than it is to beat the spread above 58 %.

.70 X .83 = 58.1% ATS

83 % is more in line with the long term historical rate of SU winners beating the NFL spread. ( I think thats right...from memory)

Look at experts or people in pick em contests that pick SU NFL winners.

How many hit 70% for the season?

You have to be right on a lot of the upsets (dog SU winners) to hit 70% for the season.

That's just as hard as beating the spread...maybe even harder psychologically.

Someone else had the stats on double digit favorites only coverd 35-40 percent in the previous years. Just stay away from them.
