Am I the only one on Syracuse?

6-7 seems like to much to lay against a tough defensive team against a conference rival. I don't feel like either team has done much all season, let's not forget this Syracuse team took UVA for a ride while UCONN has lost to GaTech and beat the lowly Army at home.

I see Syracuse's defense coming out strong here, anyone else have the same view? I see most people here on UCONN, I feel alone on SYR!

I'm on 'Cuse ML. I think Uconn loses here. No offense for the Huskies. Bones will get rattled tonite. Slow developing plays and not a lot on his passes. Syracuse can stop the run.

I can see Syracuse pulling out a win tonight. Robinson has Syracuse playing a good takeaway defense. The offense is crappy, but the Defense kept them in the games vs WVU and Virginia. A bounce back from getting smacked around by FSU.

im on them and not because im a fan. i think the lines inflated a bit after that loss at fla st and uconn beat up on cupcake army. i think they can stay within the number. small play on cuse.

Disagree here. Syracuse plays their best ball at home and still lost to a Virginia team that I think will turn out to be average. Same story with WVU.

UConn played GT on the road and was hanging in there for a good part of the game. GT defense is tough, despite the two big plays they gave up last night.

wow, I don't think I've ever bet against my own fav team.

I didn't think twice about betting against Arkansas when they played USC. I even flew out for the game, but money is money and USC was even better than my prediction of beating us by half-a-hundred.

An even worse mistake is people betting on "their" team because of blind loyalty. It's one thing to lay off completely, but to lose money because of your loyalty is never a good idea.

The only team I have a hard time betting against is the Red SOx but have started to do it when warranted this season.....

anyways the weather here (I am about 2 miles from stadium) as of 1:30 is overcast, seen some sprinkles and humid....

FWIW, Koidog, another UCONN fan and poster here called me this morning and proclaimed "They're giving money away with this line"! Cuse +6.5

Ended up getting them at +7 with a free 1/2 point at Millenium....

I agree. As I posted elsewhere:
Cuse wins on the field. The Orangemaen have larger, and faster players and a better defense. They will keep Bones in check tonite. He has a slow release and his passes tend to float. Watched them at the Army game last week and it looked like every play was in slow motion. Cuse is a turnover oriented defense that delivers. Bones will be picked off a couple of times tonite. That leaves them with a running game only and that's all up to Cauley. Biggest concern is Syracuse offense. Can they score. Uconn defense not as good as last year and if Army had any kind of QB they would have challenged them greatly. Army had Uconn within range for 3 quarters even after losing their star RB in the first half. They had no one to replace him so they ended up throsing the ball a lot in the second half. Uconn's Edsell is playing to win and isn't taking chances with Bones who can't get the ball down the field with any accuracy anyhos. Conservative play calling and mistakes will cost them.
