Let me me explain my logic further...
Exhibit A : PSU offense is in a word...atrocious. Do they score 20 this game? They have to have at least 20 to have a shot to cover IMO. They have 2 wins in big 10 play. In both games they scored less than 20. The teams they have put up points against - disregarding OSU - aren't exactly defensive juggernauts. MSU will be the best defense they have played all year by a long shot. Now regarding the Hack - that guy couldn't backdoor his own girlfriend if she was bent over and had the lube ready. I don't think we need to worry about him driving the length of the field in garbage time.
Exhibit B : PSU defense. I would use the word opportunistic to describe them. They do well enough against the average teams, but unless they get the turnovers do we really think they can hold MSU to under 35? MSU doesn't win close - they win big or they lose - see OSU. Even if they hold MSU to under 10 points on their average we still have MSU in the 32-33 range. If they don't get the turnovers they won't be able to keep this game in hand.
If you get on PSU you better be praying for a minimum of 2 turnovers. Cook has a grand total of 5 INTS all year. I'll take my chances with the veteran QB to keep the turnovers to a minimum as MSU wins this 21+

lol that's funny, I laughed reading it...but hack is actually a very good qb...our oline this year may be the worst I've ever seen at any level of football, it's that bad...and hack has led penn state on 6 or 7 game winning or game tieing drives with 2 mins or less in the 4th quarter...not bad for a 18 year old sophomore....
Psu D is legit, like someone else said ..they held OSU to 17 in regulation ..the two tds were less than 50 yard drives and 10 of the 17 points were gifts given to them by poor officiating...
i will ill admit in a homer for psu but when it comes to money i don't risk it on PSU ...however like I said , I'm not taking points and putting 1/4 unit on the money line...Small wager but I think psu wins outright or loses by 14+...weird I know...but I don't think they cover unless they get the W
I'm not tryingn to gang up on anyone here, but......Hack is not a good qb... Yes his O- line is garbage but that's as far as it goes. Hackenberg is a bad qb, plain and simple. Zero mobility and has a knack for trying to make plays he shouldn't with his arm.... He's a younger less talented Brett favre.... I admire him for staying but he's not good and probably won't be... He consistently makes bad decisions, and because of that I always fade him, not PSU.... HIM ALONE.... MSU -13..... Not a personal attack towards you lion king, I understand your loyalty i just really don't like him or that offensive line as a unit all together...

We can agree to disagree...I've watched every play for every PSU game at least twice this season, don't get me wrong, hack has made some bad throws and bad decisions...he needs to learn to control his emotions on the field and on the sidelines...but saying that, he is ruined this year....he has been hit so many times and have had his 4 freshman and 1 sophomore wr's run wrong routes and not get separation which can easily make him look bad. I could be wrong as I'm not a NFL scout, but I bet u see hack in the nfl in a couple years...losing his mentor bill obrien killed him this year along with having an oline that couldn't block for shit

I wish you guys would stop using the Ohio State game as a game of comparison or justification for a Penn State wager. Seriously, Penn State's pressure on QB Barrett left him with shit in his pants and he unraveled like the brain dead idiot he is. He was throwing balls all over the place including several key interceptions. If this is the best game that you guys can come up with, you are really in trouble. First of all, if you really think that MSU players still think that they have a shot at a playoff spot, I want some of that stuff you are smoking. That is a near absurdity. Next, whho knows what the weather will be like. Finally, both of these teams can play some defense, so this could be a low scoring game. Don't waste your time on it. There are many games that are a lot more important and much better wagers. Pass.
