This should be a real massacre. Oakland reeling after losing to Tennessee. Mainly due to the many penalties caused by the crowd noise. Props to the fans of Tennessee. If not for them, the Titans probably would have lost. This weekend the Raiders won't have to deal with that problem. They are pissed of and are going to massacre the happless Bengals. This is going to get ugly real early, and be over by halftime. Take the team with the most talent and homefield advantage in this one, and don't be worried about the large amount of points you will be laying.

I didn't take Oakland this week becasue I'm still a little wary of their offense, but if you look at the scores in Oakland from the last couple of years you're going to see a lot of blow-outs. The fans get crazy, it's loud as hell, and you can just smell the blood before the game even starts.

I'll be skipping this game, but I DISAGREE. Without Jerry Porter on the field, the Raiders have no deep threat. As good a defensive coach as Marvin Lewis is, he will have the Bengals ready to stop the Raiders dink & dunk offense, which is what it has become. When a defense knows that nobody will stretch the field or challenge them deep, they have a much smaller area to worry about. Gannon no longer scares anybody with his feet and suddenly looks old & slow. Add in the fact that the Raiders have a Monday Night game with their biggest rival, Denver, next week, and you have all the makings of a look-ahead. Also, Raider crowds are not a big factor against "weak" opponents as the Bungles are perceived to be. I'm almost talking myself into a play on the Bungles here.

their home opener last year was against the Seaducks and they wooped them 31-17. they had a hard schedule and played good teams at home all year. 2001 home opener was also against the ducks:
Sun 9/30/2001 Raiders 38, Seahawks 14 @Network Associates Coliseum, Oakland(54,629)
then a close one against the Cowboys
Sun 10/7/2001 Raiders 28, Cowboys 21 @Network Associates Coliseum, Oakland(61,535)
later on they lost to the Cardinals at home

Sun 12/2/2001 Cardinals 34, Raiders 31 @Network Associates Coliseum, Oakland(46,601)

I guess you gotta go back to the 2000 season where they hammered a few sub-par teams at home. I'd agree that without Porter in it's not the most attractive bet.

this maybe a closer game then you think. Oakland maybe be reeling but they also have a let down game against a very poor team. remember last year if it looks to easy to pick it will 90% lose..... miami first half better pick at -1 1/2...

This game is such an obvious sandwich game they should serve it at Subway. Sunday night game against team they beat in playoffs, this one, then the always big game in Denver on MNF. While the Raiders look like they should blow them out, do you really want to lay this many points on a team that figures to not be paying much attention to the Bungles???
