Jacque Chirac - he is a strong leader that does not wane under the pressure of genocidal lunatics and their extortion attempts. He stands up for what is right and refuses to comprimise the integrity of his great nation.

Ronald Reagan - in a class by himself
Donald Rumsfield - love the way the guy handles a liberal press.
Newt Gingrich - contract with America was a brilliant Clinton stopper.

Winston Churchill . . . may be the greatest man of the last century.

He does well with the Ba'ath press too. Are you also a fan of Mr. Rumsfeld's business associates? (not Rumsfield)

Not sure who I would pick, politicians are such dodgy gits....

I liked Clinton.
If he wanted to embezzle a few million and have a BJ or three, well I can live with that, society can afford it...

He kind of fitted in with the modern world.

Its hard to say whether he had an exceptional grasp on foreign policy, or if he was just too darned lazy to change things.
He just kept doing the minimum necessary to keep the world trundling along.

Any other choice would be on intellectual/ideological grounds. (ho hum)

Ditto on Churchill -- loved his speeches.

Also a big fan of Ed Broadbent (personality thing), Mike Harris, and Jean Charest. Looking forward to seeing Hilary make a move for the presidency -- her politics in general mean nothing to me right now, but it will be interesting to see how a woman is received in such a role among the American elites.

Alive: Oscar Goodman and Jesse Ventura. I love guys that speak freely and do what they feel is the right thing, regardless of what their vested interests are.

Dead: Lincoln. Such a shame what has recently happened to his political party. He surely wouldn't have stood for all this crap going on right now.
