TUESDAY 0-4 -22.57 UNITS

THIS WEEK 21-12-1 +95.96 UNITS 64% WINNERS

The dogs were not barking yesterday!!! That was my first 0'fer in a long, long, long time. One bad day will not destroy my hot streak. Here are tonight’s selections let me know what you think.

10 Units Memphis U -4 (W 79-73) +10 UNITS

Defense will be on display in this C-USA game. Both teams hold opponents to 40% shooting. There's more at stake for Memphis (16-4) as the Tigers are 7-2 in Conference USA, tied for first place with Cincy and Louisville. East Carolina is near the bottom with a 1-8 C-USA mark. Memphis is able to average 72 ppg on the road (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS) behind 6'-8" freshman Sean Banks (16 ppg, 7 rpg). East Carolina (9-10) is good at home (7-4 SU, though 1-3 ATS) where they average 80 ppg. On the other hand, East Carolina has lost 9 of its last 10 games and the visitors have the big guys to control the glass here. Last year, Memphis crushed East Carolina 73-49.

7 Units Kent State -14.5 (L 79-75) -7.21 UNITS

Buffalo (9-10 SU, 8-8 ATS) is playing well, winning four of five games (4-1 ATS run). In fact, won three of those games as +7, +1 and +9 dogs!!! But Buffalo allows 47% shooting and has yet to face a defense like Kent's (40% shooting allowed) and Kent outscores teams by an 83-61 average at home!!! Buffalo has two offensive guns in junior point guard Turner Battle (14 ppg, 3.4 apg) and 6'-10”, 250-lb freshman Yassin Idbihi (10 ppg, 6 rpg). Kent (16-3) is 10-1 SU against the MAC, with an outstanding backcourt of senior Eric Haut (12.5 ppg) and sophomore PG DeAndre Haynes (5.2 assists pg), while 7’-0”, 250-lb senior John Edwards (12 ppg, 50% FGs, 6.5 rpg) is a strong low-post player. The last time Buffalo visited Kent was a year ago, and Kent won 98-55!!!

7 Units Wichita State -4.5 (W 67-53) +7.00 UNITS

It's going to be tough for struggling Indiana State to score in this Missouri Valley Conference game. Indiana State shoots 41% from the field, while Wichita State holds opponents to 38% shooting!!! Also, Indiana State is without their best scorer, guard Damian Moss (out for the season). The Wichita State Shockers (15-7 SU, 13-5 ATS) shoot 46% from the field while holding opponents to 38% shooting, led by junior guard Randy Burns, junior 6’-5” Jamar Howard (14 ppg, 6 rpg) and a huge frontcourt of 6’-8” junior Rob Kampman (9 ppg, 5 rpg) and 6’-10”, 250-lb sophomore C Paul Miller (6 rpg). Wichita is an impressive 7-3 SU/7-2 ATS on the road. Indiana State (8-12) plays a slow-down style, getting outscored by a 63-61 average at home!!! They lack depth and lost leading scorer 6’-5” sophomore guard David Moss (15 ppg) recently. Moss was their only double-digit scorer, and this puts more pressure on 6'-7" junior Amani Daanish.

More to follow,

5 Units Wright State +1.5 (L 60-74) -5.45 UNITS

There won't be much scoring this game. Both teams play tough defense and Detroit allows 63 ppg, while Wright State gives up 60 ppg at home. The Detroit Titans (11-10) have been stumbling. While they are on a 2-game win streak, that shouldn't count as they beat Youngstown and Cleveland State at home. This will be a much tougher challenge. Detroit is 3-7 SU/4-5 ATS on the road and they have a physical defense, led by 6’-5” senior Elijah Warren (14 ppg) and guard Rulon Harris (9 ppg). Red hot-Wright State (12-10 SU, 14-6 ATS) may be just a bit above .500, but they have really taken off the last month, winning 8 of 10. Wright is 6-4 SU/6-2 ATS at home, shooting 44% as a team behind 6’-8” senior forward Seth Doliboa (16 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-2” senior guard Vernard Hollins (15 ppg, 4 apg), while three freshmen -- forward Alex Kock, 6'-6" Andrew Burleson and 6’-6” Vova Severovas -- have been stepping up and contributing. They played hard the last game before losing to Wisconsin-Milwaukee (though getting the cover), and Wright State is still 9-3 in the Horizon. Wright won 67-61 at Detroit last month and should win again with their height and offensive edge.

5 Units Indiana U -3.5 (W 75-56) NOT GRADED

After a five game winning streak, the Hoosiers (R: 5-4 SU, ATS) have lost three straight following an 84-82 double overtime loss to Iowa this weekend. The Hoosiers (11-9, 5-4) were led by Bracey Wright, who had 25 points, including a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left to force the second overtime. But it was his intentionally missed free throw at the end of regulation that nearly swung the game. Trailing 68-65 with 1.7 seconds left in regulation, Wright made the first free throw and coach Mike Davis inserted freshman Pat Ewing Jr. Ewing tipped in the miss to force overtime. Penn State lost to Purdue 62-47 Saturday despite Aaron Johnson tieing a career high with 20 points and had 12 rebounds . Johnson was the only Nittany Lion to score in double figures. Jan Jagla is averaging a team-high 15.2 points and also leads the Nittany Lions with 8.2 rebounds per game but he scored just 9 points in the game. Indiana will be playing defense on Wednesday, and holds all the cards.

5 Units Georgetown +1 (L 65-80) -5.20 UNITS

Gerald Riley scored 29 of his career-high 37 points in the second half, rallying Georgetown (R: 3-3 SU, 2-4 ATS) to an 80-64 win over Miami Saturday. Riley scored 35 in the season's first meeting between the two teams. After a five game losing streak, Virginia Tech handily upset Providence at home 69-57 over the weekend holding the Friars to a 39% shooting percentage from the field. Bryant Matthews (the conference leading scorer) scored 23 points and Coleman Collins added 21. The victory over Miami has put the Hoyas in position to make a run at the Big Dance. A pair of home games against unranked foes — including the second meeting in eight days with the Hurricanes — could leave Georgetown with a winning record in the conference and some serious momentum heading into the stretch run. The Hokies get a Hoya team that that has Gerald Riley, who's filling the twine at just the right time.

5 Units Tennessee -7.5 (L 69-65) -5.45 UNITS

Tennessee now stays Home and gets back to the SEC with a game against Arkansas (11-9 SU, 7-9 ATS). Arkansas remains on the Road after losing badly to LSU at LSU, 65-52 SU. Arkansas has been a horrible Road team (1-6 SU), giving up 75 points a game while traveling. This game will be trouble as Tennessee is averaging 81 points a game and do most of their winning at Home (10-3 SU). Tennessee’s great backcourt player, Scooter McFadgon (19 ppg, 2 apg) will probably be way too much for Arkansas. Last year, Tennessee was too much for the Razorbacks and definitely will be this year as Tennessee looks to recover from their rare Home loss!!!

Good luck tonight my friend's

Thanks for the heads up. I post at many forums and didn't realize that the game started so early. The game will not be included in my record.
