They definitely put themselves in a position to make a run for the Play-Offs and a shot at the NC.
They sure put the "clamps" on Leonard Fournette and the rest of the LSU team.

Bama and Clemson about the only teams that play on both sides the ball. Ohio St's defense don't look dominant. And their offense without Barrett is not very good. Obviously if they get by Michigan and Michigan St they will deserve to be there to. The fourth spot is totally up in the air in my opinion.

Bama will be in the playoffs barring any stumbles down the stretech. Clemson IMO are paper tigers. Who have they beat? I only see two decent teams on their sked and one is a perpetually overrated ND.

Still not sure if Bama played well enough to crack Heather Dinich's top four, but I remain ever hopeful.

Defense might be better than 2011 one but qb play is not at a NC level.
He's definetly a gamer but somewhere down the line they will need him to win a
game for them

very tough game for them
next week with MSU. They always play Bama tough

Bama's offense is no more powerful than a one loss Stanford. I mean, what about Baylor?

If we go based on rankings i think the following:

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. The Ohio state
4. Notre Dame

5. Lsu
6. Baylor
7. Iowa

if Baylor blew ksu out I'd say they're in

but

i am am not sure LSU will completely disappear because they lost at Bama. They didn't play all that well and even when Bama lost to Ole Miss they didn't disappear from the rankings either.

will be interesting to see

Do you feel Stanford has a chance to make the Playoffs ? Somewhere, out on the West Coast there has to be a team that could finish strong and end up playing in the final four. An (8) team play-off will make a lot of this "second-guessing" opinions go away although, I suspect, those 6-7 & 8 seeds will still create "heated debates". as well. Look at CBB, they seed (what is it...66 teams ?) and they still end-up with second-guessing as to who got [in] and who didn't.

How did that Bama team lose to Ole Miss? I know they had the turnovers, but still surprising.

Shutting down Fournette the way they did was more than impressive.

Like you said, the 5 turnovers killed them along with not having a starting qb. Coker had started the previous 2 games and hadn't looked good. Bateman started the game and didn't look good either. Coker led the comeback and has been starter since. I really believe the miss state and auburn games will be dogfights to the end. Much tougher than this weekend. Both give Bama fits every year. Bama opened at 7, Vegas also thinks State can play with them if not beat them.

fortunately the picture will be clearer in 3 weeks. a one loss SEC team will make it to the final 4. Fla, Bama or LSU. You can guarantee that.
Clemson has to beat UNC.
tOSU/Iowa has to win out
Baylor/OKSt has to win out.

Next in line would be a 1 loss stanford/ndame, who play each other in 3 weeks.
