Since the arrival of Nick Saban in 2007, Alabama's on field success is evident. The Tide has enjoyed at least 10 wins every season since 2008 winning 4 SEC West titles, 3 SEC Championships and 3 National Championships.

Alabama football is also winning at the gate. The football program had a $53 million surplus with revenues of $95 million for the 2013-14 fiscal year. Alabama 'athletics' generated a surplus of more than $33 million.

Is Saban worth his $7 million salary....damn right he is!

Not bad, though not the best USC had football revenues of 97 million for the same period. Sorry to say that Saban and Alabama's glory days are at an end, now that they have to play some legitimate teams in the playoffs. Saban has lost his touch in bowl games, as the las two season have proven. Will he find it again? Not with an improved SEC and a much better playoff system. They will win their share of games against other SEC schools, but when it comes to crunch time in the bowls, they just do not seem to have it anymore.

Great analysis. Yeah, Saban should just walk away. He's done..... (rollseyes)

Alabama's football team will be good this year just like it has every year since 2007. The support staff is there plus a lot of good players.

I think the defense will be really strong this year (nothing new there) and the offense will produce as it always does.

Good players leave....another good player steps in...just part of the successful process of late.
