What is a ticket from New York to Cr running? What is the best airline?

Is a passport needed?

Thinking of vacationing, Cr looks great.

Any info would be welcome....

Thanks..

La Guardia and JFK are both total zoos. Out of the three airports in NYC your best bet is Newark, although you will for sure suffer delays etc as they are all totally congested.

If you go with Newark then you are flying with Continental. They have 3 direct flights but I think it goes down to 2 on low season.

The downside to flying direct is that those flights are more expensive than connecting somewhere.

Best airline in my opinion is Continental Airlines. They have very little delays or cancellations, I have experience one delay and no cancellations in over 20 flights back and forth. Tghey have a hub in Newark and one in Houston, so that is where you connecting flight will be out of.

Here is a link to a list of Airlines that fly to Costa Rica.

A passport is needed.

Continental kicks ass, elite status over here... Way better to drive to Newark and fly direct imo.

+1

on top , trips to here are almost guarranteed upgrades, out of 4 trips this year not a single one didnt clear (plus the one to Canada was upgraded also on the US-Canada leg)

I have a bunch of miles @ American Airlines and I havent used them because I dont feel like going through the abuse at Miami. Lets hope that neither one of those go bankrupt !

( I am going to have to be careful now......I might end sitting next to Fuzebox one of these days LOL)

Elite pass myself too. Wouldn't have it any other way. I got a kick out of it once, because you get to cut into the front of the line at security in Houston and some dumbass bitched at me for cutting in line. I flash the One Pass Elite card and the security guard waved me in front as he bitched and mumbled about it. I told his ass to fly 60,000 miles internationally a year and maybe he would have the privilege I had. Cheap bastard.

I get killer gas too, I feel bad for anyone stuck next to me in row 2!

Pretty thick skin over here, nothing can be worse that the buses I used to take when I worked in Limon (at the refinery).
Nothing that free booze can't fix.:nohead:
