AGENDAS???

[THE SHRINK]

While I was away in Las Vegas, I did a lot of thinking and winning...

It is becoming so apparent that certain posters are only here because they have agendas....

Many of these agendas are aimed to hurt good people and good sports books on this site...

Other agendas are to mislead people into thinking whatever it is that the poster has in mind....

While many of our regulars can see right through this, I worry because some of our newer posters can be misled, especially if the agenda isn't pointed out...

And even if it is, is it fair to allow people who are trying to hurt the credibility of another establishment or another poster the right to continue posting here?

What do you think we should do about this if anything?

I don't know if you are asking for sincere advice as I think all your site cares about are hits. That's why con-artists and shills are allowed to stay here in my opinion. This is your site obviously and you can do with it the way you see fit but I, for one, wished these agenda people, in an ideal world, would be banned whether it's tout wannabe, book supporters, and so on. I also believe on a positive note there are some good people on this site too and across the street who would come forth and make more frequent posts and help each other out whether it is book information or gambling or whatever else they have to share. Isn't that what the site's main purpose should be - to helping each other out? To cultivate an atmosphere where shills, scammers etc. are allowed to post probably prevents a lot of good lurkers from posting. Anyways, just my 2 cents. I look forward to meeting you in Vegas.

I hate posters who come in these forums and have agendas..I think most posters can trust long time posters who have been posting good post in the past.

Agenda's are okay to a point but when it is just a person who's only purpose is to tear the site down it becomes dumb of us to keep them. We can take criticism and do so daily but to take it from someone with an ulterior motive or someone who gains financially by hurting us makes no sense to me. I hate to ban but realisticaly we probably should do it more than we do. Life's too short as it is, why hang out here if you are miserable?

BTW I don't think Ken is talking of anyone specifically here. If he is I don't know who it is either. Just want to hear other peoples comments.

How about when finding those posts by posters with an agenda? Confront them on the spot and make things clear. I think that not only will be fare but it will make it much more fun!

I use to think the guys who worked at the books who post here should come clean who they work for. It use to be a bigger deal because they would swarm to the defense of the books when a player posted a dispute or something negative on CR.

But the posters here do a pretty good job at keeping industry guys here in check.

Anyone caught posting something positive about a book they know is in trouble just to get a payout should be permanently banned. Anyone who purposely misleads players for their own gain or benefit should also be banned.

Habitual stalkers like Nolan who pretty much single handedly ran off Sting should be banned.

Nasty psychos like Fred Norris should have their ass kicked and then banned.

But the Lou Diamonds and Beantowns just get a little excited and need some time off to reflect once in a while.
