Oh Danny Boy, your pipes, the pipes are piping...in a most contradictory manner:
You: "Saturday morning I put in a play for $550. The line was a couple points off what most books had, but it was a total so that happens sometimes."
You: "It was off by 3 points or 3 1/2 depending on what other book you are using for comparison."
General's facts: "Danny wagered on the UNC vs Virginia game Saturday. The total on the game was 163.5 according to wagerline. Normally to establish a 1st half line, the game total is taken in half and a few points deducted.
Intertops made a mistake and posted the 1st half total at 88.5. The line should have been 78.5."
You: "I checked the lines at about 5 books and it ws either 3 or 3 1/2 off depending on which book you compare it to."
From NeilM's post: "Closing 1st H totals for that game...
Cascade 78
CRIS 77.5
Grande 77.5
Olympic 77"
And, finally, the coup de grace admission by YOU: "Dumbass, I realize that you arent very smart at all so let me help you out here. If I truly middled this play, the other side would have WON. The total points scored in the first half was 82."
So, recapping:
1) You bet Under 88.5 for the 1st half
2) This line of 88.5 "was only 3 to 3.5 points off"...thus making the other lines you saw 85 to 85.5
3) IF you had middled this play (i.e. bet Over at one of your other outs = Over 85 or 85.5), you would have WON.
4) The total points scored in the half was 82.
Please let us know who grades you with a win on Over 85 or 85.5 when the game lands on 82. I would like to play there!
