ACLU Files Another Lawsuit Against God

The ACLU is still hot on the trail of those who would dare offer any prayer, whatsoever, in public schools. But, as has become its norm, the ACLU’s campaign against God is relegated only to ‘Christian prayer’ and Christianity. This “great protector of our civil rights” (all sarcasm intended) has yet to challenge any Muslim prayers that have now been mandated by many California public schools. For the ACLU, Islam is allowed but, Christianity is forbidden.

In its recent lawsuit against Louisiana’s Tangipahoa Parish School, the ACLU is calling for the fining and imprisonment of the school’s Board “for their calculated un-American and immoral conduct to embarrass, hinder or obstruct the court in the administration of justice." To the ACLU, God is now “un-American” and “immoral”. The first reason for this latest ACLU contempt charge is due to Shane Tycer (not a school employee) broadcasting a prayer (Christian of course…not Muslim) over the school’s public address system, before a basketball game. This flew in the face of a prior ACLU obtained court order (it’s easy for the ACLU to get these ‘court orders’ when judges are in its pockets), which disallows Christian prayer anywhere and anytime at the schools.

The initial ACLU lawsuit against the Louisiana school, which was precipitated by one parent complaint (no doubt an ACLU “plant”), included a suit against an elementary school student for reciting the Lord’s Prayer before a school board meeting. Guess it’s time for our children to spend a stint in jail, for their disallowed Christian religious beliefs! Note: I wonder how the ACLU will react when Muslims begin to heavily populate the Louisiana public school system, as they have successfully accomplished in other states.

If the ACLU follows its “hands-off” attitude (as it has in California and Florida) toward Muslims, we will see Islamic prayer allowed. But, Christian prayer will remain taboo. Does anyone still really think that the ACLU is non-partisan in its ‘no-religion-in-public-schools-or-public-places’ stance? If you do, read what the ACLU had to say about its suit against Tangipahoa Parish School when one of its representatives stated that the school was engaging in a "pattern and practice of disobeying the law in order to promote Christianity over other religions in public schools." The ACLU never has liked truth and uses all the weapons and ammunition in its arsenal to destroy it. In its 5 April press release, the ACLU writes: “The lawsuits include a challenge to the promotion of the biblical faith-based story of creation as opposed to the scientific theory of evolution.” Scientific theory of evolution? Not even close. Human evolution is one of the secular community’s “faith-based” tenets. It cannot be proved. Thus far, each and every attempt (over many years) by the scientific community to present a human “missing link” has been a failure. All of the potential missing-links have been apes. Not even close and, certainly, no cigar.

So, in its continuing and unrelenting efforts to destroy the United States, the ACLU will continue its jihad against Christianity. The Judeo-Christian message and ethic were what founded this country and have sustained it through multiple challenges to its sovereignty and its very right to exist. But, if the ACLU finally wins its war against the United States of America, neither our existence nor our independence will any longer be an issue. The USA will be gone. This is the predominant reason that Congress’ appointment of truly strict constructionist judges is imperative. Our survival as a nation and a people depend on it.

You are right on about these lawsuits being generated by ACLU plants. They pursue these types of actions to promote themselves with their donors. But be careful-- NOT ALL JUDGES ARE IN THE POCKET OF THE ACLU!!! We need more responsible judges. But while many are awaiting confirmation to our federal courts, a slim minority of our US Senators insist on holding up thier confirmation vote. And while I certainly agree with your assessment that we need judges who respect the text of our Constitution and laws, such judges are not "strict constructionist" but instead judges who give reasonable construction to the original meaning of our constitutional text, (See Justice Antonine Scalia's "A Matter of Interpretation"). The label "strict construction" has been deamonized by the left (albiet unjustly so) and it is worth noting that the judicial activism of left wing judges is NOT supported by any reasonable construction of our Constitution. Keep paying attention to our judiciary.

Where's the ACLU when you need it?

For years, America's government schools have been told by the courts and the secular jihadists at the American Civil Liberties Union that any vestige of Christianity or Judaism must be eradicated.

There's been a judicial fatwa against the two faiths that inspired the American political system.

The courts have blessed this Taliban-like holy war against religion in the schools and the public square.

The legal rationalization for this crusade has been the establishment clause of the First Amendment – a thin thread of an excuse.

But now it is becoming increasingly clear that's all this campaign ever was – an excuse for marginalizing the God of the Bible in the lives of Americans.

The proof is the tolerance shown for another kind of religion in America's schools – not just secular humanism, but Wahhabist Islam.

As an investigation by WorldNetDaily's Paul Sperry revealed, a top textbook consultant shaping classroom education on Islam in American public schools recently worked for a school funded and controlled by the Saudi government, which propagates a rigidly anti-Western strain of Islam. The consultant, Susan L. Douglass, has also praised Pakistan's madrassa schools as "proud symbols of learning," even after the U.S. government blamed them for fueling the rise of the Taliban and al-Qaida.

The ACLU is uncharacteristically mute.

"In effect," Sperry writes, "she is responsible for teaching millions of American children about Islam, experts say, while operating in relative obscurity."

Critics complain that Douglass, who taught at the Saudi academy for at least a decade, has convinced American textbook publishers and educators to gloss over the violent aspects of Islam to make the faith more appealing to non-Muslim children. The units on Islam reviewed by WND appear to give a glowing and largely uncritical view of the faith.

While the ACLU hasn't been troubled by the increase in one-sided teaching about Islam in the public schools, another legal watchdog has. The Thomas More Law Center sued a San Francisco-area school district on behalf of parents of seventh-graders who were required to "become Muslims" for two weeks as part of their world history unit on Islam.

However, U.S. District Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton, a Clinton appointee, dismissed the lawsuit against the Byron Union School District, arguing the Muslim unit does not promote religion, and therefore does not violate the First Amendment's clause against religious establishment.

The controversial role-playing course requires kids to recite Muslim prayers and verses of the Quran in class. Students also are required to give up things like watching television or eating candy for a day to simulate Islamic fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

"From the beginning, you and your classmates will become Muslims," the Student Guide portion of the Islam module instructs seventh-graders as an introduction to the material.

Just imagine substituting practices associated with Christianity or Judaism in such a course without the ACLU squealing in horror. It's unthinkable.

What's happening here is clear: There's an unholy alliance emerging between the mush-brained, selectively intolerant secular jihadists and those Islamists who would like to use the Judeo-Christian-inspired American freedoms to undermine Western Civilization.

Why do I call them "mush-brained"? Because these people are so myopic they can't see their allies in this cause hate everything they stand for. They can't see that they would not survive five minutes in their brave old world of the 7th century. They can't see that the freedom they love so much can only survive in a society operating on Judeo-Christian principles and populated by people who believe in those principles.

If people can't see this glaring double-standard at work in America, there is very little point to fighting Islamic terrorism abroad. It's just a matter of time before the enemy within achieves victory by default.

RAMADAN AND CHRISTMAS IN THE SCHOOLS

The approach of the “winter holidays” gives schools a chance to show respect for the religions of students, or not. The president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights found that public education’s guardians are at least making some strides in this direction.—ed.

Catholic League president William Donohue lists what some public schools recently did to accommodate Muslim students during Ramadan:

• Muslim students at Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord, California were allowed to use an available room to pray.

• Tahali Community School in St. Cloud, Florida provided a quiet space for students to pray in the afternoon.

• After protests, Muslim students at Brooklyn International High School were allowed to miss class for four Fridays during Ramadan to attend mosque services.

• After protests, Muslim students with notes from their parents at Bancroft Intermediate School in Wilmington, Delaware were excused from sitting in the cafeteria at lunchtime during Ramadan.

• In Herndon, Virginia, “multicultural trainer” Afeeda Syeed was allowed to bring children from a Muslim school to public schools to teach the students about Ramadan.

• At Salem High School in New Hampshire, the Muslim Students Association held a Ramadan “Fast-A-Thon” wherein they received contributions from classmates and teachers (proceeds went to a local soup kitchen). In a show of support, the teachers skipped lunch as well. In addition, the group held a fast-breaking feast at the public school that day at 4:30 p.m.

• At Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy is a publicly funded charter school in Minnesota. During Ramadan, all of the students (including non-Muslims) followed the traditional Muslim fast.

• Gwinnett school officials in Georgia decided to excuse Muslim students from the final class period every school day; one of the make-up options is for students to take a religious studies class off-campus.

• At North Atlanta High, students held prayer services in a Muslim teacher’s classroom.

The degree of tolerance that these public schools have shown for Muslim students during Ramadan is encouraging. Maybe now we can get the schools to stop with this “Winter Holiday” nonsense and get down to celebrating Christmas with a concert that features a nativity scene and the singing of “Silent Night.”

NYC OK's Prayer in School -- for Muslims

That anti-religion bastion of political correctness, the New York City public school system, has quietly sanctioned prayer in schools -- but only of you're a Muslim who wants to worship during Ramadan.

In a talk radio exclusive, New York's WABC Radio has been airing reports on the school system's special program for Muslims for weeks.

Late Wednesday, Schools Chancellor Harold Levy finally confirmed that the religious double standard indeed exists. "Christian parents would probably love to have a place where their children could pray during school hours," WABC newsman George Weber said Thursday. "They don't... But the Muslim kids are getting their very own prayer room in New York City public schools."

"The New York City public school system is going to accommodate Muslim students allowing them space for prayer" during the five week Muslim holy season of Ramadan, reported Weber's partner, Babita Hariani.

"In a statement, though, school's Chancellor Harold Levy adds the prayer 'cannot interfere with classes or infringe on other students'", she explained.

That's not exactly what the Chancellor's office told the New York Post, which reported Thursday that Levy spokeswoman Margie Feinberg told them Muslim students will be allowed to cut classes in order to pray and then reschedule them later.

Delaware: Muslim children given place to pray during Ramadan

I have no objection to this at all. But let a hundred flowers bloom: the Muslim students who were initially told they could not pray at school have now experienced what innumerable Christian students have experienced in public schools for years. A day after Muslim students at Bancroft Intermediate School were told they could not pray in school and had to sit in the cafeteria at lunch despite fasting in observance of Islam's holy month of Ramadan, one child was allowed Friday to go to a private room to pray.

The Christina School District said the students will not be forced to sit in the lunchroom as long as their parents submit in writing that the children are fasting.

The mothers of two Muslim students said Friday they were pleased with the district's response to their request that the students be allowed to observe Ramadan properly.

Shaida Fennell said that her son, Hashim, 12, was escorted by a teacher to a private room twice during the day so he could pray. He also was not forced to remain in the lunchroom with other students, she said.

Murder of a New Jersey Christian Family: A "Test Case" For Islamo-Fascists?

<HR align=left noShade SIZE=1>On Sunday, the butchered bodies of the Armanious family were found in their home--bound, gagged and stabbed to death. Included were the father, Hossam, his wife Amal Garas and their daughters; fifteen year old Sylvia and eight year old Monica. Of particular significance is the way in which they were murdered. As well as multiple stab wounds in all of the bodies, each had his and her throats slit; in accordance with ritualistic Quranic law.

The young girl Sylvia appears to have suffered the worst at the hands of the family’s murderers. An additional stab wound was inflicted on her wrist, the wrist upon which a tattoo of the Coptic Christian cross appeared, and Sylvia sustained a long gash to her chest. Fred Ayed, a deacon from the family’s church, dispelled rumors that the family’s deaths were attributed to a robbery. Ayed said: "This is not a robbery. "We found all of the jewelry in the house. They didn't take anything."

What was the reason for the slaughter of the Armanious family? Almost immediately, one came to light. Hossam Armanious was outspoken about both his strong Christian faith and his disagreements with the tenets of Islam. He engaged in “heated debates” with Muslims on the web blog paltalk.com. During one of those chatroom sessions, Armanious was sent a response message that read: "You'd better stop this bull**** or we are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you!" It now appears that Armanious’ nemesis followed through on the threat. Armanious and his entire family are now dead.

Unfortunately and unconscionably, as of this writing only one news channel (Fox) is reporting this story in any depth. In fact, neither the alphabet soup networks nor the other cable channels have even bothered to include it in their online news sites. Although the deaths of Muslims around the world are reported as front page news by the mainstream media, apparently the death of Christians (apparently at the hands of Muslims) isn’t worth mentioning. And, of note, none of our ‘moderate’ Muslim friends have said anything. In this case, both groups’ silence says a mouthful.

One of the real concerns, as expressed by friends, is whether or not this may be a test case (designed by Islamo-fascists) to determine what the U.S. reaction would be, in regards to the killing of U.S. Christian citizens.

Thus far it appears, with the blatant lack of concern by the mainstream press, that the terrorists may have their answer. The MSM (mainstream media) hasn't shown much interest, one way or the other. Last night, the Golden Globe ceremonies were more important. Except for Fox, the killings weren’t even mentioned by the other major news sources.

If the massacre of the Armanious family is not strongly addressed and the perpetrators tracked down and brought swiftly to justice, all Christians will need to be fearful; fearful that the media and our justice system won’t effectively deal with the situation and will [instead] sweep it under the rug.

The Christian community must deal with this abomination immediately and resolutely. The Muslim jihad against Christianity has now entered our homes.
