Don't normally bother with these types of things, but just received a letter from ACES.com a subsidiary of Sportingbet PLC offering me $50 free with no strings attached that would be deposited into my account once I registered. No deposit is required. They provided a 16 digit code to be put in the lower part of my confirmation registration page with the credit immediate. Went ahead and registered and it was as advertised. System uses the V-wager method. Has anyone received a similar letter and/or have any knowledge or experience with this outfight or the parent company?

Dante:

I received it via regular mail. It was authored by someone named John Gordon. I would have gladly given it away but I'm guessing that the 16 digit code is perhaps tied to my personal name. Not sure. Anyway, bet the $50 on the Superbowl, so if it wins, it will be interesting to see if the money is readily available. Either the winnings or the total amount. Plus, don't know if any rollover is required, although it doesn't appear there is any. Can't tell from the letter.

I played there a couple years ago.they pay out fine.

stopped playing there because credit card deposits no longer worked thanks to the US government and Aces did not take neteller.

no problems collecting there.

Even though this is not one of the RX advertisers, thought I would share the final conclusion to my experience with this book just in case anyone is considering opening an account and/or making a deposit.

After receiving the $50 free, without strings attached and no rollover, I wagered the entire sum on the Under in the Superbowl. My account now stood at $95.45. I then rode along on Shrink's recommendation of Delaware (+7.5) over ODU wagering the entire sum. My account now stood at $182.22. At this point, I decided to test their payout efficiency, which I will usually do early using a small sum by deciding to request a Neteller withdrawl. Within approximately 15 minutes, I received an e-mail acknowledging my request for the entire withdrawl and that I would be notified with another e-mail within 24 to 48 hours once the process was completed by the method I chose. A delay occured in processing because I had never made a deposit to this sportsbook using Neteller, so they wouldn't be able to credit my Neteller account until after I at least made a minimum deposit of $20 to obtain all the necessary Neteller information, namely the security code. They would process by other means, i.e. cashier's check, money order, etc. at no cost to me if I wanted. So I asked them to put the money back in the account and then made a $20 Neteller deposit followed by another withdrawl request for now the sum of $202.22. Once again, I received an e-mail acknowledging my request for the entire withdrawl and that I would be notified with another e-mail within 24 to 48 hours once the process was completed and my Neteller account credited. Well, approximately 24 hours later my Neteller account was credited in full. The only comment I will make regarding the book is that their customer service was courteous, but taking 24 hours to pay a Neteller payout is pretty slow. I'm not complaining because afterall, they gave me $50 free. They do provide 4 free payouts per month which is quite surprising considering the number of free payouts one can receive from most books, even the largest. I seriously doubt that I will fund my account with this book in the future as it doesn't provide any additional features that interest me. One last footnote. Because I was curious as to why a Neteller withdrawl transaction would take so long, I shared with them the speed of some of their competitors, namely Pinnacle, Olympic, WSEX. To my surprise, the customer service representative said he had never heard of them and was surprised that payouts could be so fast. And believe me, he was very helpful and honest in my discussion with him. Thought that was a bit telling as well though.

I would be wary of the Sportingbet group (home of the famous "security audit").

They are solid, but payouts are hit or miss. Sometimes payouts go smoothly, sometimes it takes weeks or longer as you fax in ID, statements, etc. over and over and over during the security audit. Do a search here for SportingbetUSA, or any of the others in the group and you will read much about this.

If they could fix the payout delays and get rid of the security audits, they would be a great group of books. It is their payment processor side of things (EFS) that is the headache.

Where is Halifax? I think he has experienced many of these audits.

Yes, I have.

The first one can be attributed to "security". The other ones are a sort of "penalty" for winning too much, and having the gall to request a withdrawal.

OldManTed, your 24 hour payout to Neteller was actually quite fast for them ... you will find that the payout speed decreases significantly when the amount is higher ... if you would have tacked a couple of 0's onto your $202 payout, you would probably be waiting a week, or two, or three.

Don't get me wrong, they pay (as long as there's no scam involved), and your money is safe with them, but if you're requesting a payout higher than low-to-mid 4 figures, you probably won't receive it in a timely manner.

These days players should be aware that all of the books that flaunt the SBT stock symbol are not created equal. We have seen some cases where the owner/investor is the one making the calls vs. SBT management. This has hurt a couple players in a few rare cases.
