So a fellow degenerate gambler friend of mine, Broncos625, noticed a trend in the NBA using ESPN's accuscore system, using the percentages with the o/u and the spread. When the percentage is 60%+, it becomes a play. In NBA, it's 12-2-2 since he began watching and 7-2-1 since starting betting. I wanted to try this system for CBB, because he didn't want to track all of the games and do the leg work, and I don't blame him but if it's profitable I will do it. Yesterday was my first card, and I went 7-1 using this system.
Now I bought some points in some of the games today, which in retrospect is manipulation of the system, but all of my plays except Troy was above 60% prior to buying points. I just like Troy, they haven't failed me yet, so that won't count on the overall accuscore record. Unofficial pick. Now, todays picks and percentages are

[827] VIRGINIA TECH +6½-120 (B+½)- 60.1% at +5.5 on accuscore, bookmaker had it at 6, and i moved it to 6.5.
[846] TROY +1½-140 (B+1½)- 59% at a pick em, but i like it. Bought points, which I'm assuming would move it into the 60th percentile plus. This pick does not count against the accuscore record however, as stated above. Unofficial.
[847] TOTAL o121½-110
(ILLINOIS ST vrs NORTHERN IOWA)-64.5%!!!!!!!!
[852] GEORGE MASON -8½-130 (B+1)-61.7% at -8.5, bookmaker had it at 9.5 so bought a point.
[855] PORTLAND U +8½-120 (B+½)-60.3% at +8, bought .5 points.

Four official picks today, one unofficial. YTD 7-1. <!-- / message -->

In this system yes you would take the over in the state vs. northern iowa game.

I agree with the buying points, but unfortunately I have had several bets in the last month lose by that 1/2 point, so it has made me cautious, and potentially stupidly cautious. For now I am bein cautious, but I do agree sometimes its not worth moving the line.

You need to be an ESPN insider, which means either have a subscription to the mag or pay money to be an insider. If you ever see any link on espn and it has the little orange "in" symbol, that means it can only be viewed by an insider. To view the percentages, you go to any sports league on espn, click the scoreboard for that league, then go to a future game that hasn't been started and there should be a simulation link under the matchup. Gives you all the info.

Anything over 60% according to accuscore. Just the spread and the over/under. Not the ML or straight up.

Im gonna need a 76 point 2nd half in the Illinois state game and VT is down by 10 with 2:30 left in the first. Both worse off then I would like.

I think when I caught it this morning it was just under 60. I want to say it was 59.7, because I remember looking at that game but I didn't bet it for some reason. If it's over 60, I bet it. thats the system lol, so there was something because I remember looking at that one.
