Lol. Interesting subject. First thing I did when I heard the news was watch the '95 ALDS game 5 vs. the Yankees (hands-down one of the best nights of my life). After that, I sat and thought about it, and I came up with this: he's Griffey man. Plain and simple, even if he sucks this year, the fans will still come out every night and treat him like royalty. Last year was the first year in a while the M's suffered a loss financially. I really think that Griffey will go a long way in turning that around this year. Maybe not in the win-loss column, but at least he will bring fans out to the games. Who knows, maybe that'll be enough to inspire the team to play harder. We can only hope, right?

I could not agree more. He is Junior, the kid, seattles god. After Bennett single handedly butt raped the city of seattle and took away our only legit championship this had to happen. I went to the last game in the dome where he hit a 3 run bomb then robbed Juan Gonzalez of a 3 run bomb later in the game. He single handedly won that game, classic junior. We won 5-2. Scored the deciding runs and saved the deciding runs. He is a God in this city, and I see a healthy Junior hitting .270, 25 and 85.

Also love the M's... used to go to games when it was the Kingdome. I've got a ball signed by the likes of little o, Dave Valle, Eric Hanson, and a few others that I can't seem to remember right now. Hope the return of "the kid" ( used to eat his candybars in front of bartells drugstore on the plateau in Redmond) is the catalyst we have been needing

Dude I was born in Redmond man. I haven't been back in over 20 years (I'm a transplant living in Florida now so its kinda hard) but I've wanted to go see a game at Safeco for a while now. I've heard nothing but great things about it.
