Gentleman, welcome to the new year and I hope everyone had a blessed and safe holiday season. I wanted to take the time to write up a sincere thank you to all of you here. Up to this point I've now been apart of the forum for two seasons and I can honestly say I've learned more than I could have ever imagimed.
Obviously the season didn't turn out how I originally planned, we all desire to make money but in reality it can be a difficult process. This is my third year wagering on sports and I primarily stay with college football and some college hoops. However, this has been my first likely losing season, the first two I made a total of a couple thousand extra, this year I will likely lose the 1,750$ bankroll I started with or if I get lucky, possibly finish even. We shall see I guess starting tomorrow.
So what went wrong ? Because I hate losing and I've always been a student of any game I played I decided to look back on my mistakes. First off, this year my money management has been horrendous, and I made way to many large wagers that cost me dearly, that will undoubtedly be addressed for next season with a new system of wagering that I'm looking into and trying to model myself. Secondly, I've played way to many games. I feel like I understand a couple of conferences very well and a few teams better than most, and when I played those teams I usually did well. It was the plethora of other games that sunk the ship. Lastly, I didn't study the lines enough. What I mean by that is I passed up way to many team total bets, game totals and didn't start playing second half wagers until late, where I found out I'm actually pretty good at them.
Needless to say I've spent a lot of time the last two weeks reading the plays of other phenomenal cappers on this site. I've paid attention to how they wager on games and why. I want to take the time now to thank them as they have given me a new outlook on my own plays that will likely make me more successful next season. So thank you to Conan for your outstanding knowledge of the PAC 12, thanks red elephants for some amazing input on the sec, that is money Miller for a unique system that has brought some things to my attention; very cool indeed....fade2win, a true fade artist and possibly the best I've ever seen at it, that is for posting your plays I've really come to understand why you make them and the success at which you hit; thank you to greenbacks and the cruncher for all the information you two provide the forum with, its truly invaluable. Also rolltide with your system, its way to deep for me but it works and its pretty damn coll, I've made some plays based off of it. Thanks to zackattackisback, a capper that doesn't post often but when he does is usually spot on. Other thanks need to be extended to guys like gosooners, red eye, wanger, tmader and the many others that have visited my threads with kind words even when I'm losing LOLOLOL.... Thanks to the mkds for putting up with me, I try to keep it classy but I'm just like everyone else here, a homer to some degree. Lastly, a big shout out to Indiana for being the clasiest dude on the forum!
Sincerely gentleman, THANK YOU ALL!
In some way or another you've all helped me better understand this challenging field of sports betting. Even if I didn't list your name, you dudes are some of the best and I appreciate all of your opinions and input.
Bol boys, the seasons not quite over for me yet, so go ducks for 500$ and if they win I'll let it ride for one last hurrah.
Coming back with a new style and a better me for the 2016 football season, baleeeeve that!
Peace gentleman and happy new year!
