I was looking through one of my sportsbooks at all of their props tonight and found one that stick out and seems like it has a great shot at hitting. And it is.....

Kanye West's College Dropout to win Rap Album of the Year at the Grammy's.

You can get this at even money! For those of you who have no idea who Kanye West is and for those of you who don't follow rap at all, go out on a limb and put some money on this prop if your book has it. This one is easy money! Comments welcome.

Kanye might finally get some credit. He has been snubbed at the last few award shows. The last one he was at, he was so confident he won the catagory that he started to walk up to the stage. He didn't win though & was quite pissed.

But be weary as he has strong competition in the catagory from Jay Z. They might give it to him since he is "retiring" from the game.

Maybe but he has some tough competition from Alicia Keys, Usher, & Green Day.

I don't think that he will album of the year. But, for rap album of the year there are only 2 possiblities in my opinion. Kanye West and Jay-Z. I still love Kanye's album to win it. I am locked in at even money. Just don't think Jay-Z retiring will have anything to do with who wins it.

Jay Z is the only one that you need to watch out for there...

Lets hope not as Kanye's album was good. Most people tried to get him to not release an album saying it wouldn't do good.

Also have to be careful about one thing. The Grammy's have a tendency to throw a monkey wrench in certain catagories. I've seen it numerous times where it was pretty much a lock that either one of two entries would win the award & an outsider got it.

I recall the year 1979 & Wonderwall were nominated. The lock was one of those two songs would win in the catagory & it ended up being a song from the DMB that was nowhere nearly as big as 1979 & Wonderwall.

It is as if they don't want to choose between two standouts so they ***** out.

Kanye West is garbage, will not win. go with LL or Nelly, not my preference, but thats who will win. The other category you mentioned, id go with Usher or Alicia

Kanye West is a nice value at that price for "Rap Album", yet should lose to Nelly or LL.

In the "Album Of Year" category he doesn't have even a puncher's chance, as Usher is the right price, and Alicia Keys lurking, with Ray Charles the darkhorse.

The Jay Z farewell angle should be overrated, as everyone knows he has more farewell concerts than Kiss, Grateful Dead, and Babs combined over the next decade coming.

Green Day's "American Idiot" will win vs it's genre, if odds posted anywhere for Punk.

When are these lame awards gonna give true talent recognition?..Wilco, Paul Westerberg, The Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Ron Sexsmith, Grand Champeen, Morrissey,etc..

Glad you cashed in on this one. Line was amazingly 1-4 tonight before the Grammy's started. What a lock this one turned out to be. Wish I would have put more on it. I'll do this dance for Kanye.

I played this prop at sportingbetusa. Although it was placed a month ago at even money, this prop was still available tonight 5 minutes before the Grammy's started. However, the line had changed from even to -400.
