South Carolina pk vs. C of C.
South Carolina returns practically their entire team from last year... They have 3 SC Mr. Basketball winners. Devan Downey is a preseason first team All-SEC player... South Carolina is 5-0 and their closest margin of victory was against Gardner Webb by 15 points, who just a couple nights earlier took Oklahoma down to the wire. I don't think that the bookies are on this South Carolina team but they are going to be very good, although they are not very deep. I don't really even see this game being close. U of SC is 27-1 against C of C all time, with their only loss being in 1930! The tempo of this team has changed as last year, Dave Odumb was the coach and liked a full shotclock half court game... Western Kentucky's Darren Horn is the new coach of the Gamecocks and plays a fast-paced game in which they depend on a lot of transition baskets... It just seems like a great pick to me.. I'm really surprised that its a pk game as I believe SC should be favored by 6 or 7 for sure. The game is in Charleston but a lot of Carolina alumni live in Charleston so I don't think C of C will have the home court advantage... just a hunch.. good luck tonight guys.
