I think Minnesota is the best team in the BIG TEN. That Lawrence Maroney is an amazing back.

Can you guys give me a little info on Minnesota's defense this year? It seems like that's always the part of their game that let's them down every year when they get in to Big 10 play.

MINNY'S OFFENSE IS LOADED. THEY COULD SCORE 45 easy. I would be concerned about FAU scoring as they were shutout by OK ST. But I think MINNYS D can give up 2 TDS. Your over looks like a good move

another nice reason for the over from is it looks like fla. atl. will be short of few linebackers. this is from the Boca Raton news:

"Senior linebacker Shomari Earls suffered a stinger in his neck in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game. Although an X-Ray on Friday showed no structural damage, coach Howard Schnellenberger said Earls is doubtful for next week’s game at Minnesota. He will be evaluated later in the week.
Senior linebacker Kinyumba Mutakabbir is also listed as doubtful (foot). Senior fullback Aaron Sanchez, who has not played a down in two games, will be evaluated in today’s toilet bowl."

We preefer the Side in this one as we see the Gophers popping 40+ and not sure if FLATL can score on offense.

I like Gophers in this game because Mason likes to beat up on the cupcakes on the schedule before he gets ready for Big ten play and loses to Michigan every fricken yr .

I think you're onto something Brock! I was so focussed on getting Minnesota in at -31 before it moved that I overlooked the total? I could see it being -34 by gametime.

Oh, yeah!

Minny LOVES to run it up on the "sisters of the poor" teams. They'll do the same here getting ready to play the "meat" of the Big 10.

Did you see FAU against OK ST? Absolutely a pathetic team, and now they'll play on the road in a noisy dome on a fast surface! I'm taking Minny in the 1st half, and Maroney will finish with over 130 yds running/passing! :waving:

I`ve Been Following The Goofers For Over

40 yrs and know a little about them. The D is a tad stronger than LY when it was below Big 10 standards. They still lack overall speed on D, but do have a stud on the DL in Montgomery, and the LB`s are better IMO. Fla. Atl. is bad and won`t test them regardless. Cupito looks improved and of course the OL though not big is very fast and mobile. There is more than Maroney @ RB, Pinnex & Russell are very good. No the O is not a prob., hasn`t been for several yrs. A word of caution when betting the gm, I think Mason learned his lesson LW when he put the 1st tm back in and almost lost a future star LB Shevlin who is going to be a good one, to an injury. Consequently w/the Big 10 & Purdue on tap, I think they`ll roll in the 1st half and then call off the dogs. I`m betting 1st H. Best of luck to all.
