My second losing night in a row, all of these tournament games are going in bizarre directions. With my 1-2 start yesterday my ytd is 26-11. I have looked at three games that interest me so far, here goes:
UNC -1, I like the fact that they are playing close to home. They are coming off a solid effort at Duke and could use a win to solidify a good seed. Ga. Tech is playing well, but does not have anyone to match up with May inside. UNC is also a well-balanced team (5 guys average double figures), and Tech's super sixth man Will Bynum has a hip injury and may not play. This game will be nip and tuck. I like the heels.
South Carolina -3.5, I think the gamecocks are playing good ball right now and are quietly piling up the wins. LSU does not have their leading scorer and rebounder Lloreda. He gives them experience, post prescence, match-up problems for the opponent and a guy to take the pressure off Bass inside. LSU does not have the experience to hang with USC.
Depaul +1.5, These are two closely matched teams. Depaul won by 11 in their first meeting. I think this game will come down to rebounding. Depaul is solid on the glass and that is how they beat beat Cincy a week ago. I like the fact they are getting points, the Blue Demons have won their last five and are clicking since Andre Brown's return. I love the Blue Demons.
