Free MLB Play for Friday from Doc’s Sports Take #925 Los Angeles Angels (-135) over Houston Astros (Friday, 8:10pm EST) It's been a rough start to the season for the Los Angeles Angels, who were just swept at home by the Seattle Mariners. Already there are talks about how this season isn’t going to be any different than last year when the team dug themselves a huge hole that they couldn’t get out of. But the key to early season betting is to not overreact, so we’re going to buy low on the Angels. They have an unbelievable offense and I really like Friday’s starter Garrett Richards. The 25-year old right-hander had a breakthrough season in 2013, and then followed that up with a great spring. He posted a 3.47 ERA in 23.1 innings in the spring to go along with a very nice 15-4 K/BB ratio. He’ll get a weak Houston Astros lineup today, which should be a great confidence builder for him. The Astros might be a tad overvalued at the moment with a strong start against the Yankees. However, they still have a ton of holes in the lineup and in the bullpen. Let's not forget that the Astros lost 111 games last year, and this year's roster isn't much different. Today’s starter Lucas Harrell had a terrible 2013 campaign with a 5.86 ERA, and didn’t do anything this spring to change anyone’s opinion of him. He probably should be in the minor leagues to work on some of his pitches, but you could say that for most of Houston’s starters. The Angels need a win to break the ice in 2014, and I think they get it done here.

Take Washington (-135) over Atlanta (1 p.m., Friday, April 4)
This is my projected moneyline for this game, and I expect the Nationals to be strong favorites in their home opener. Washington is going with Tanner Roark in this situation, filling in for Doug Fister. Roark was sharp this spring, posting 11 strikeouts to just three walks and allowing opponents to hit just .224 against him. Roark went 7-1 with a sub-3.00 ERA for the Nationals last year and should be amped to get the ball in this spot. The Braves are going with David Hale out of desperation. He got shelled this preseason, posting a 6.62 ERA and an opposing .333 average. But the Braves have a slew of pitching injuries, so they are forced to trot out a guy that probably isn’t ready. He’s started all of two games in his MLB career, and now he is set to take on a very good Nationals team on the road. Maybe Hale will surprise me. But I feel very comfortable betting against him until he shows me something. I think this game means everything to the Nationals, who want to take it right to the defending East champs. I like Washington to get a win here. I busted out with a 4-1 Opening Day with my side plays, which was good for over $1,000 in profit. I plan on topping that this weekend, and I am looking forward to a big start to the season. Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Raphael Esparza :
Take #904 Chicago Cubs over Philadelphia (2 p.m., Friday, April 4)
The Cubs home opener is Friday afternoon, and last year’s surprise starter, Travis Wood, takes the mound. The Cubs got no run support for Wood last year, and hopefully this trend doesn't continue Friday afternoon. Phillies new skipper Ryan Sandberg, a Cubs legend, comes to the North Side, and I'm sure the Cubs would love to give him a loss on the road. This should be a low-scoring game, so you might want to parlay the under with this play as well because weather is predicting the wind to be blowing in. Free NBA Basketball Prediction From Indian Cowboy :
Take OVER New Orleans at Utah (9 p.m., Friday, April 4)
If you want to watch an exciting, high-scoring affair, take a look at the Utah contest on Friday Night. I have always believed when two bad teams get together the 'Over' is likely. We have hit the 'Over' multiple times this year alone from that philosophy. Take for example when the Pistons/Sixers got together recently and it flew over the posted total (it also flew over as the Sixers were solid active underdogs at 5.5 points as well, which is a number that is infamous with an active underdog from our tracking over the last decade). Such is the case here between New Orleans and Utah as both continue to play young talent as neither are headed to the playoffs and defense is not of heavy concern. I expect Utah to be a solid active underdog here against New Orleans, and this is a letdown of some kind as the Pelicans will be coming off a contest against Denver the game before. New Orleans beat this team 102-95 the last time these two teams played, so that is part of the reason why I like the active underdog here in Utah to do well at home on a Friday Night behind a decent crowd. Plus, Utah has not played since March 31st when they were beat by the Knicks fairly soundly by a score of 83-92 as a small underdog, and this team will be itching to bounce-back offensively after behind held to less than 85 points. With Utah on the bounce-back offensively, well rested, New Orleans in for a letdown after the Denver game and with the Jazz having revenge as an active underdog, look for this contest to likely go over the posted total on Friday Night. Also, you can get a 25% bonus on up to $250 when you use the promo code SPORTS25?at Sportsbook.com. Free College Basketball Prediction From Allen Eastman :
Take L.A. Clippers over L.A. Lakers (3:30 p.m., Sunday, April 6)
There is no doubt that the Clippers love the fact that the Lakers stink right now. They have to be taking a lot of pleasure in blowing out their city rivals after the Lakers beat them down for so long. The Clippers won by 48 points in the last meeting back on March 6, and they beat the Lakers by 36 points back on Jan. 10. I expect more of the same in the final meeting of the year. The Lakers just want the season to end, and they won’t muster up much of an attack in this game. The Lakers are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, and I think this one is a blowout. I will call for the Clippers to win 120-95, and this should be easy cash. And speaking of easy cash, I have posted back-to-back winning nights to start the MLB season, and I am working on a streak of five straight winning baseball seasons. This is one of my best and most consistent sports. I plan on pumping out the profits all season long, and I would love to have you betting along with me.
