Somebody just pounded the under with a boatload. Waiting till seconds before kickoff for another little drop and will venture onto the over! Now 78 even...

31-21 halftime score...

2nd half Louisville -8 total 39

Lean towards Boise...Why not

Game will slow down a bit and 39 is a stretch, if looking at over.

Sittin tight on my game over @ 78 and teaser total at 69

Just to let everyone know

More plays were on the over and the line was droping big trend this year in the bowls. Just like the game line. It was 14 and 65% of the bets were placed on Louieville. Why would this number hit as low as 10.5. It is called a trap. 80 is a big number and most books new they were safe with it that is why it oppened so high. All they have to do is drop it a few points and public goes nuts thinking it is a under play. TRAP TRAP Let me kno0w if I am wrong.

69 points and the third quarter is almost over.....wishin I had a piece of Boise at +14 and a chunk of Boise moneyline cuz it looks like they have a shot to win outright...

I'll stick with trying to cash my over bet, which looks really good right now.....

Still a quarter to go and anything can happen, but I'm glad I didn't bite on all the Louisville-will-dominate-Boise-and-this-game-stays-under-because-its-being-played-on-grass mentality......

Two more touchdowns, boys.....

So the books felt so safe at 80 that they dropped it to 78????? OK I bit, since all the RX talk was on the under. Wonder how they feel now sitting at 69 with 15 minutes to go and after a 52 point 1st half. They must be real comfortable, since they knew it was a sure under, huh?

Last I knew it took money to move the line, that late shift from 80 to 78 would indicate some large money came in on the under????

Amen! The bookies would know best, but why would an offshore move a line dramatically unless they got action on the otherside and needed to balance. I guess Slim and others could best answer that question. Bottom line is the game did go over even if you were bucking the 83.5, which someone supposedly had under in another thread.

I guess your right I think everyone was on the Cal game here in the RX and man they made the line drop 4 points. Funny how that works everyone on the side and line drops 4 points. Nobody was Texas Tech. I guess all that money on Cal must have made the books lower the line. Public was all over the over in Boise Game and Cal both line went down. How does it happen. I have a site that give what there action is. Cant list the site due to message board rules sportsbook is the name add your own w's and dot coms to figure it out.

To add

I know a few Offshore guys and dont even think they are looking for even action. Dont get me wrong they like it because it is safe. But Vegas is looking for Even action not offshore guys. Out of the ones I know they can careless. Why do you think you can get a prop on how many time Brett Farve may fart before a game or if Paris Hilton will come out with another sex video.

Where is the correlation between the RX posters who all think alike who all bet one side.....and the actual bettors at the sportsbooks who move the line based on which side they bet thier money?

Just because a whole herd of posters in here like one side of a game doesn't mean some sportsbook is going to move thier pointspread.

I saw the Boise total get bet from around 80 to 83, and then the late betting took it down to around 78.....was this the "sharp" money that came in late to lower the number to 78?

Didn't mean to offend you, but all this talk about public money, square money, sharp money, etc is very funny. Most of us study, research, listen, evaluate everything, including line moves etc. Bottom line is winning. I am willing to be a square, if it means "W"'s and willing be a sharp for the very same outcome. "W..W..W..W's" Just think this classification of bettors in general is absurd. All the sharps, that played the under in the Boise-Louisville game are extremely sharp, just a little less liquid at this time. Personally been in this game for 30+ years. Still intending to learn something everyday and should. Understand your stance on offshores not needing equal action. With that premise, they are gambling and not really conducting a business. No difference from their players. Why not be satisfied with the vig, nearly 100% of the time. A steady stream of income, instead of the ups and downs, that most everyone else deals with, sounds like the way to go. Most especially applicable , if you have to live in Costa Rica or ???.
