Question from a Lurker--

Has anybody ever stayed in the Hard Rock in Vegas? I know it is not on the strip, so how does it compare to somewhere on the strip with a comparable price (i.e. Luxor)? How far away from the strip is it, how much would a cab be, etc.? As for the hotel, I heard they have a decent club scene and that attractive females are aplenty.

We (myself, and 7 other dudes all 21-25yrs old) are getting two rooms at Hard Rock for New Years weekend, plus flight from D.C. for $525 total for each person. Seemed like a good deal. None of us have been to Vegas before, so we're a little bit clueless... would love some input.

Haven't stayed there but you'll have a great time there. The Pink Taco Mexican bar is there. That is a great deal. Short taxi-ride to the strip. Plenty of eye-candy there though.

Vegas isn't really too big, so the cab rides shouldn't be too much.

have stayed at the property multiple times...the pool activities alone attract so much eye candy :massage::brazilian is outrageous ...usually have a concert going on in the "joint", which keeps the party rockin!! Would definitely choose it in comparison to Luxor...In relation to the strip, you would be looking at a 10 minute cab ride to Caesars Palace (heart of strip), which would run you $12 to $16 dollars including tip... think you fellas made a good choice...peace!

dude... just put yourself at ease. you made the right choice. really... don't even think about it another second. if you guys are looking for single women, there is no other place to stay. it's a party unto itself. you may go to the strip to take a look around, but I can guarantee when drinking is on your mind, you'll want to be back at the hard rock. they have a fine casino for gambling and the party will be among the best

By far my fav hotel in Vegas!

Eye Candy, Good music, great pool, drug store accross the street for all you need. Also a strip mall accross street. Strip bar accross the street, free shuttle to the strip (why go there anyway).

there is a little cafe restaurant in there where you can order cheap eats, or you can have a reasonable price meal at the hard rock.

Best part is the great tunes that you can listen too while gambling or simply partying in the hotel.

cab to strip would cost very little. ask to be taken to Planet Hollywood for the shortest ride if you just want to get there and walk around. on new years eve, the strip is closed to cars and you can just walk it. its very very crowded though

you wont have any trouble finding trouble at the Hard Cock or on the strip

Hard Rock Hotel.

Eye Candy at the pool. Visit the Cafe of course and see all the Rock N Roll stuff. Casino kinda IMO sucky but this is not a hardcore gamblers joint. Sportsbook tells all. Overall a great place though.

On a side note, be sure to visit across the street over at the Haufbrau House (did I spell that right), well anyways that famous German beer joint that's replicated from Germany itself. Beer served in those big ol' glasses and it kicks ya in tha butt. Great time. Warning, it is expensive over there though. Who cares really when you're having the time of your life!

On a side note I will say that just about a month to month and a half ago the Hard Rock held a surprise drug test on the employees that put on the pool club scene and things alike. Can't remember all the detail but it went something like this- The Hard Rock outsourced an outfit that produced all the cool pool parties and such. They were pretty much the one's who made the Hard Rock pool scene for what it is. Part of the stipulations in the contract were that they were subject to employees of Hard Rock rules including drug testing. I'm sketchy on all the detail of the contract stuff but needless to say the Hard Rock were getting pressure from law enforcement about all the drugs being passed around at these events. The Hard Rock told everyone to come to a "Tip Compliance" meeting when it was actually a meeting for a drug test. Most failed. So with that being said, I'm not sure if the pool scene is cleaned up now and the looseness of it all has lightened up a bit. Don't know. Haven't heard what happened since. I'm sure it's business as usuall.

The Cocktail waitresses are just sick! Stupid Hot!

Tons of trim. Not the best sportsbook, actually terrible. Max is like $500, but great place to stay. Great pool, tons of eye candy.

You made a great choice.

Nobody has mentioned the Go Go Dancers behind the black Jack tables, but that is also classic!

Where'd you find this deal? I live in DC also....and was considering Vegas for NYE this year.... Thanks!

---

Last year, at the Bash, I went there w/ SportSavant, Kermit & DJMatt. We had a great time! Played the $25 table in front of the hot pole dancers. Several times I was so caught up in watching the dancers that they had to ask me if I wanted a card!!! Hilarious!

SS, post up those pics!

yes we had a great time, the one thing about the hard rock is their week end rates tend to be very expensive, however, they are dirt cheap for weekdays.

Im not 100% sure where the videos are now CoachCB, let me see if I cand find them.

I used to stay there regularly, but they've changed management a couple of times. They aren't that far off the strip, and they have a shuttle that will take you to the strip on a regular basis.
