(Preemptive note from Rx Mod Barman, written after the first 55 posts were put up in this thread.

With the permission of the thread starter, I've modified the Title.

MSaracen has never played in an NFL Fantasy league before this one and thus was admittedly foolish to have thought the terms proposed by PO69 would be a fair turn of events if carried out in full.

Regardless, the initial introduction of an unethical and extremely shady trade tactic was put forth by PO69 when he first broached the trade with Saracen.

As you'll see upon review of the thread below (up through post #55) - when first publicly confronted, PO initially denies even making such a proposal. And then when the actual text of the trade offer is Pasted from the league trade page into this thread, he then tells us he was "joking".

Saracen has already fallen victim and accepts responsibility for his own part and the subsequent consequences to his team.

Unfortunately, if the league commish was to wield a very justified hammer and boot both PO and Saracen's teams from the league, it would unduly affect the balance of results in the remaining six weeks of regular season fantasy league play.

Thus this thread will simply have to serve as a notice to anyone considering fantasy league interaction with PO that you are on your own and at this point there's likely little that can be done if he attempts to replicate this or any other scam with another league manager during the remaining qualifying weeks.

The thread as originally posted by all concerned begins following the double red line below)

====================

To the fantasy league manager of "The Dallas Cowboys":

Whoever the hell you are, you should be embarrassed for going back on your word and lying.

A few weeks ago you requested that I trade you Dallas Clark in exchange for Todd Heap just for that one week. You then said you would trade him right back to me after that week.

Being a nice guy, I agreed. But now you still haven't given him back to me even though I know you've seen the trade proposal.

Anyway, you deserve to get called out. Maybe I deserve to have lost the best TE in the league for being a nice guy/sucker, but you should be embarrassed. Cheating/lying/deceiving somebody in order to help your chances at a free fantasy football league is pathetic.

Going to move this to fantasy section in about 5 minutes.

But, to be honest, and not to sound like a jerk, I'm not so sure it sounds like what you guys had planned is fair, and probably wouldn't have been approved by the commmissioners anyhow when you attempted to trade back the players you had just traded to each other.

I'm sure most here wil agree......

Hey, it was never my idea, he came to me and said "Can I borrow him for just one week?" and I didn't care and said yes. It's not like I was getting any advantage at all out of all this.

I'm 95% sure it's PO69 that did this so I shouldn't be at all surprised he felt the need to cheat. Guy is a fucking scam artist.

Just sucks for me that being a nice guy caused me to lose the best TE in the league.

He gave me Roy Williams (injured) and Todd Heap, I gave him Dallas Clark. I attempted to trade them both right back the next week but he hasn't responded for several weeks now.

Just thnk it's really shady and felt the need to call him out as I'm in the middle of a heated battle with wilheim and wishing I had Dallas Clark's TD earlier today...

Wow, can't believe you traded Clark away who was the hottest TE at the time.

All we can do is see if he chimes in.....

Like I said, I thought it was just a one-week thing. Considering this league didn't cost me anything to get into, I thought I'd be a nice guy. He said he really needed him so I obliged.

its good to be nice but that shouldn't of been allowed or done by you. either way as it affected 9 other people in the league including you

1) Such deals are certainly not in good spirit and thus we should not be shocked at who initiated the notion. (PO69)

2) Your likely sincere intent to be a cooperative manager has indeed resulted in you being shot in the foot.

3) Everyone and anyone who is a regular contributor to the Rx and/or participant in Rx-sponsored contests should file this away as just another example of what happens when a certain guy rolls up to you in the casino hallway and asks you to buy his Elvis chips for cash so he can enter the poker tournament.

4) Just be thankful you're not one of his pet dogs prior to the big hurricane coming through.

I still dont see any proposed trade on my page anyway?

I am pretty sure that Roy Williams was not injured when I traded him though. You can ask Wilheim that I didnt want to do another trade that would seem unjust earlier this week.

I would not have traded an injured WR. It would not have been approved

But I will tell you what, you can have him back if that is fair.

Send another trade proposal then. I wont even be using Roy Williams most likely, but if you think that it was bad since he got injured after the trade, then OK

Before our trade, you were not even using Dallas Clark! He sat on your bench every week since you had Whitton! I was using Roy Williams, but I picked up Patrick Crayton to take Williams slot.

And Williams was NOT INJURED before our trade went through

The fact you asked to have Clark for just one week with a commitment to trade him right back is odious.

Please spare yourself further embarrassment by trying to paint this pig

I do not remember any sort of committment to be honest. And I still have yet to see the trade offered back to me.

This is an absolute joke and I think there should be some kind of penalty applied to those involved.

I'll also call out the owner of the Dallas Cowboys (PO69) for recently offering me a trade that was an insult to anyone's intelligence. Based on the trade that I was offered (and soundly rejected), there's little doubt in my mind that he initiated this deal as described and is treating the other party like a sucker. It's still hard to believe someone would agree to such an arrangement. It's also completely unfair to the other 8 teams in the conference.

So I guess then you're declaring Saracen to be lying about the arrangement he cited?
