He probably wasn't loved as a child. Never got a hug from his Daddy, and suffered from depression.

He should have been a pro fundraiser.

I wonder what he's thinking about? You think it even bothers him that 2 people have committed suicide?

Doubtful. He wasn't bothered when he was knowingly scamming people all those years.

If someone put in 1,000,000 in say 1990 left the 10% per year in and then sold in 2000 he would have 2,358,000 he would think Madoff was a prince.

If someone put in 1,000,000 in say 1999 and took the interest out every year he would have broken even when the Madoff scheme became known.

I think he thought the ponzi scheme would last forever and everyone would be grateful to him! He's certainly not as scornful as some of these Wall Streeters who gave themselves 100,000,000 dollar loans one year and as the CEO forgave the loan the next.

A law enforcement official tells The Associated Press that a son of Bernard Madoff has been found dead in New York City of an apparent suicide.

New York police say Mark Madoff's body was discovered in his Manhattan apartment this morning, on the second anniversary of his father's arrest.
His lawyer calls him "an innocent victim of his father's monstrous crime." Martin Flumenbaum says the 46-year-old "succumbed to two years of unrelenting pressure from false accusations and innuendo."
Bernard Madoff is serving a 150-year prison term for swindling a long list of investors out of billions of dollars. He was arrested on Dec. 11, 2008, after confessing his crimes to his family.
Family attorneys say Madoff's sons were the ones who turned him in.
Mark and Andrew Madoff worked on a trading desk at the firm, on a side of the business that wasn't directly involved in the Ponzi scheme. They were accused in a lawsuit of failing to detect the fraud.
