I currently have a Dell dimension 8400. In servce since 3/05. This week it will not boot up. I changed the internal battery and followed all maintanence suggestions. I think it is dead. Did order a new one, but I need to fire this one up to transfer my information. HELP!

buy a new computer. Take your hard drive out and buy an enclosure for it. 25-50 bucks. After you properly place it in the enclosure. Hook the usb connection to your new computer and pull all your files form the documents and settings folder.
