My blood pressure during and right afterwords was lower than my resting rate. They told me it should have been just the opposite. I don't see my cardiologist for another week. From what I have read on the net, it could bed the early stages of heart disease. Anybody have an experience with this or know anything about it? I would appreciate and help here.

Are you on any current medications? Did they tell you how much the pressure actually dropped? The pressure being lower during exercise can be sings of coronary artery disease or other problems with the heart. But also if you stop a exercise without a cool down your pressure can drop alot so maybe you just really worked yourself during the test then stopping suddenly could of done it.

I am taking blood pressure medicine already and my pressure has been good. The lady just told me that it should have done the opposite and been sky high instead of lower than resting. She just told me that was all she could tell me and I would have to wait and talk with the cardio doctor. Just hate waiting, that's all. Of course when you get on the net and start reading stuff, you always think the worst.

To be honest i dont think she should of even told you that. Did you ask or she just say. I'm not a doctor but i would think its kind of unethical. Her job is to take the results to the doctor not to be give you bad news and send you home and say wait.

She actually told it to another woman who was in the room with us. I never did ask. I think it is ok she said it, I am not offended or do not think she did anything wrong. She just told me after that the doctor was the expert. Guess I will have to wait. Thanks for the reply.

My cardiologist just called today and told me my echo cardiogram came back normal. I was shocked. She still wants me to come in in a week and go over everything with me.

If you are not feeling stress, you are probably dead. And that's not good.

BTW, blood pressure tests are rarely done the proper way. There are like six pages of protocol.
