Second, while Obama didn't accomplish everything he set out (thanks mainly to an obstructionist congress the past 6 years) he certainly cleaned up most of the mess left by the last incompetent prez. What scares me is that Trump appears to be even more incompetent than Bush. I hope I'm wrong but we will see.

I do agree that growing the economy is the right answer, however Trump has not shared anything about that. His stated way is to cut taxes, repeal Obamacare and grow the military. Add to that, the building and maintenance of a stupid wall and we have the making of a disaster worse than the Bush years and the debt doubling.

What we need in this country is the end of the two party system as each has been hijacked by the extremes and that worries me.

1. Passed Health Care Reform: Granted it isn't perfect but after five presidents over a century failed to create universal health insurance he at least tried and secured coverage for 32 million uninsured Americans which I believe every American should have access to.

2. Passed the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 to recover from arguably one of the worst economic disasters created by Bush and the republicans. Weeks after stimulus went into effect, unemployment claims began to subside. Twelve months later, the private sector began producing more jobs than it was losing, and it has continued to do so for twenty-three straight months, creating a total of nearly 3.7 million new private-sector jobs.

3. Cut unemployment in half- from 10% to about 5% between 2010 and 2016. the unemployment rate dropped from about 10 percent to about 5 percent. The current unemployment rate is below the historical median since 1948 of 5.5 percent.
