How many of you do futures bets? I did them (for very small amounts) a few years back (when betting online was a lot easier). I only have 1 online account these days so all of my bets are "small" (under $100, most are for around $20-$50)...and I can't find a local around here (DC).

Not much of a futures player myself...too many variables involved...

.....but, to each their own...

I will wager on "games of the year" but not futures wagers like this. I will fade a few. This year I will fade Alabama +900 to win it all, and Oregon to win the Pac 12.

I play a lot of futures year around on NFL, Coll Football, Coll Hoops, NBA, some golf and baseball.. I invest probably close to 50/50 on future plays and day to day action

I knew Red Eye was one of the guys who played them regularly, but naturally many do.

My best hit ever was when Kurt Warner burst onto the NFL scene & won the Super Bowl.

I was in Vegas at the time at the Excalibur & they still had ridiculous odds on the Rams even though week 4 was in progress and they were about to go 4-0.

My buddy layed $100 on something like 80-1.

I sat there with him and finally decided I had better do the same cauz I would be kicking myself if by some "miracle" they actually pulled it off.

Needless to say 2 things happened that year:

1. We rooted for the Rams all season long, even though we had mixed emotions as they played against our Bucs in the NFC Championship Game

2. The Rams ruined futures from that point on & we no longer see the astronomical odds that we used to
