Just for grins, I checked the Seattle rainfall totals for Oct. 1 through today. San Diego has had more rain: 11 inches to 10.56 for Seattle.
Like us, Seattle can expect some very wet days ahead. It might be interesting to check on Tuesday to see which city gets more out these storms.
I'm looking outside right now, at 1:15, and it is 4:30-type dark. Rainfall totals so far haven't been that impressive, but the heavy stuff is expected later this evening and tonight. Imagine what things will look like if this keeps up through Tuesday, as forecast. I hope the Chargers have their mud spikes ready.
The Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for the entire county: coast, inland valleys and mountains.

here. When the discharge levels get up around 1,000 cubic feet per second, you can bet your Macy's charge card that the river is going to overflow its banks in Mission Valley.
