The only problem from where I'm sitting ...

so many times I've seen weather reports that state huge downpours and then turn on the tube and the field is drier than a 98 yr old womans snatch ...

not likely. Bad info bro.

Saturday: Windy with periods of rain. Thunder possible. High 62F. Winds S at 25 to 35 mph. Rainfall near a half an inch.
Saturday night: Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers late. Low 54F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Welcome to the Northwest

Just for grins, I checked the Seattle rainfall totals for Oct. 1 through today. San Diego has had more rain: 11 inches to 10.56 for Seattle.
Like us, Seattle can expect some very wet days ahead. It might be interesting to check on Tuesday to see which city gets more out these storms.
I'm looking outside right now, at 1:15, and it is 4:30-type dark. Rainfall totals so far haven't been that impressive, but the heavy stuff is expected later this evening and tonight. Imagine what things will look like if this keeps up through Tuesday, as forecast. I hope the Chargers have their mud spikes ready.
The Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for the entire county: coast, inland valleys and mountains.
A cool site to hit to check on the flooding status here at Fashion Valley is the Weather Service's report on the San Diego River level. Click here. When the discharge levels get up around 1,000 cubic feet per second, you can bet your Macy's charge card that the river is going to overflow its banks in Mission Valley.

a few years back

i remember the 1st time the chargers went to the superblow, i had about 20 charger playoff tickets for the KC game, wet as ****, could even sell the tickets at the stadium for face value, what a sloppy game, very low scoring.
