4+ Road Games

in the nba forum i just posted how i love to play AGAINST teams in their first home game when coming off a road trip of 4 or more games.

i find these teams still have some jet lag to them and don't get accustomed to being at home right off the bat.

i have found this to be one of the very best "trend" plays out there.

does anyone have a statistical breakdown of this - how teams do in their 1st homie after a roadie of at least 4 games?

I went back 10 years with my database and I didnt find any conclusive edge there. Well, maybe if I go in details, something I really have no time for these days (sorry), like Revenge/vs Revenge, Div/NON Div/Conf/NConf, Rest, Record on the road trip, there would probably be some good angles found.

This year alone, teams playing at home coming of a 4+ gms road trip are :

24-17 su, 18-22-1 ats

favs 18-8 su/11-14-1 ats
dogs 6-9 su/7-8 ats

just checked my database which spans 14years and straight up the results are 668-406 62.2%

as a dog the results are 265-563 32%
As a home dog 111-188 37.1%
As a away fav 162-67 70.7%
As away dog 154-375 29.1%
As a fav705-273 72.1%

I saw on another site someone is doing this but only after an east coast team returns home after playing in a west coast time zone and/or a west coast team returns home after having played in the east coast time zone. I think it's something like 23-15-2 this year. Might be worth knowing what the record is for other years if someone can check it out. Doesn't have to be 4 or more just as long as the played at least 1 game in the opposite time zone = bet against 1st game back home. Eastern and Western time zone teams only.
