Sorry guys with LW N'Western pick. So I'm 5-1 with my 3 more games to look at (3-0 prior week, 2-1 last week. Doing extremely well overall. I have 3 and a half more games this week that I thought wow, I think we are getting some value. Here goes.

NWestern +7
This is the first road game of the year for PennSt and they have struggle so far against far less opponents than Wildcats pose and Cats have definately played better competition than PSU. Add to that no trip to Evanston is easy for ANY Big10 team of late. NW is 2-0 SU and ATS vs PSU of late and expect this one to go down to the wire. Think we are getting value here as we get additional points because of NW blowout loss in Tempe. Wait till the end of the week and let the PSU backers move this line upward and then jump on it. Also make a small play on the ML as NW wins this one SU. NW is 7-0 ATS as dog of 3'-10 pts, 2-0 as home dog of 3'-7pts.

LSU -6'
Tennessee is the most overrated team in AMERICA. Matter of fact this team has not been good since Tee Martin was running the offense. In home opener for Tigers don't expect Vols to be able to do ANYTHING against this LSU defense. Fulmer has not been able to commit to the Run or the Pass or even the QB. He has managed to keep this offense out of sync. Expect the same in this one and expect them to be down a bit after being dominated by Gators last week in the Swamp. If they thought that Gator team was physical, just wait till they hit the turf in Baton Rouge. Thank God they kept this as a night game, there is no better atmosphere in college football than Tiger Stadium at night.

Oregon +21
This is another game in which I will watch the line go up and grab the points later in the week. Ducks as a 21 point home dog...are you kidding me? While I am no fool, I know that USC will win this one SU with ease. BUT Ducks first team offense will be playing most of this game versus USC 2nd and 3rd team defenders and offense. They will move the ball on them and keep this well within 10-14 points which is where this line really should be. Say what you want but I want to see USC run the ball on the Ugly Duckling defense. I honest don't think they will be able to do it. Ducks giving up less than 3yd per rush. Expect the same in this one. While I'm no expert, I would not be surprised to see Ducks go to some 3-4 looks on defense because they have the size up front to slow down the Trojans run game. It will allow ducks to put more bodies in the secondary. They can also use this to blitz off the corners and get shots on Linehart. Just a thought, this one closer than advertised.

Oregon St +6
See Conan's thread about this game. I think Beavs win this one SU at home. Reser pretty tough place to road teams to visit.

Northwestern & Oregon

Wouldn't surprise me if Northwestern wins straight-up.
Can't see the Ducks losing by more than 3 TD's at home turf.
Also like Minnesota Gophers -3 or 3-1/2 over the Boilermakers at home. Every year the Gophers come out fast, then fade out by sixth or seventh game.

I like the 3 home dogs, leaving LSU alone. Tennessee is a fiesty underdog--remember last year's SEC game when no one gave them a chance to cover vs. Auburn and they nearly pulled the upset?

I'm with you on USC--they are a great team, but their lines keep getting inflated so high that one of these weeks on the road their bubble is going to burst, maybe this week. I was all over Stanford and Oregon State at home vs. USC last year, gonna give it a try w/ the Ducks this weekend. GL

Adding the following:

4* BG/Boise Over 75
BG has scored 40+ in 8 straight games & 38+ in their last 10 and does not look to stop now on the big blue turf. BSU is also an offensive machine having won 25 SU and going 17-8ATS in their last 25 on the smurf turf. Boise also averaged 40+ at home so this one should be close to over by the half. The weather should be spectacular for this one.

Okay guys, Record stands at 23 - 13 on the year. 5-1 on my 3 More games to look at feature. Those 3 are the following +LSU on Monday Night.

5* Northwester +8’

5* <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:Street><st1:address>Oregon St</st1:address></st1:Street> +6’

5* <st1:State><st1:place>Oregon</st1:place></st1:State> +21

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>

Adding the following for our afternoon consumption.

<o:p> </o:p>

4* <st1:State><st1:place>Kentucky</st1:place></st1:State> +23

As stupid as this may sound this is a great spot for Cats as they catch Gators off <st1:State><st1:place>Tenn</st1:place></st1:State> and Cats are playing with revenge in this one. They moved the ball against L’Ville earlier and think they can do the same with the very mobile QB.

<o:p> </o:p>

4* <st1:State><st1:place>Alabama</st1:place></st1:State> -15

Don’t typically enjoy laying DD point with HC Shula (he aint his dad) but saw the pounding that SC put on Hogs and they have a few injuries as a result of that game. Bama playing with Double Revenge in this one and with Gators on deck expect all out effort from Shula’s Boys.

<o:p> </o:p>

3* <st1:place>East Carolina</st1:place> +22

With VaTech on deck for Mounties and coming off win over rival Terp team, perfect spot for hard playing ECU Pirates team. Expect them to move the ball enough to keep this one within reach.

<o:p> </o:p>

5* VaTech -11

VaTech will score on offense, defense, and special teams and with Jackets QB Ball playing at less that 100%. Expect this to be a hard hitting game but Jackets are vulnerable to big plays because they’ll over play Vick or Imoh.

<o:p> </o:p>

3* <st1:Street><st1:address>Illinois/Mich St</st1:address></st1:Street> over 59

Expect both teams to score and while I love MSU, I think they are probably still a bit high off the ND win so I am staying away from their side.

<o:p> </o:p>

3* <st1:State><st1:place>Colorado</st1:place></st1:State> +14

In their first big test of the year and on the road, expect <st1:State><st1:place>Colorado</st1:place></st1:State> to give Canes a run for their money. Canes can be run on and Buffs are big and physical enough up front to go toe to toe for a while. Buffs keep this in shouting distance.

God I suck!! 6-3 with Beavers pending and unable to punch it in from within the red zone. Had Minny earlier and they made me sweat bullets. Didn't get to see Ducks game but apparently they got started early and began smoking victory cigars way too early. Will watch it on tivo tonight to see what happened.

Better luck next weekend,
