2nd GOY Wake Forest +4 over Duke, Is anyone else on Wake?

Wake is my 2nd goy this weekend. I won last night with St. Mary's over Pepperdine. I see everyone on here referencing that everyone is on Wake but I have yet to find another. I hope everyone is on Duke as everytime I see a consensus on here it goes down in smoke badly. Is anyone else on Wake? Post which side you are on here or even if you have an opinion and not betting a game. There are two sites that I use that breaks down the percentages of who is betting each side. Whenever there is over 70% on one particular side, it usually goes down so I would like to see how accurate it is vs posters here at the rx.

everyones saying duke HAS to win but they seem to be fading fast. id play duke under 3 pts but 4 may be asking a bit much for a team struggling at cameron or the road. if it goes to 4.5 then im betting WF.but sundays are really weird betting days so tho im thinking wake then of course duke wins by 20.lmao.

KOJAK, great call on St. Mary's yesterday. I have to disagree with you here though. Don't you have to go with the Dukies today at home? They're a perfect 7-0 straight-up and ATS at home versus Wake Forest since 1997. Now throw in the fact that they've lost 2 games in a row on the road and come back home with something to prove to everyone doubting how good they really and you've got the makings of a classic Duke performance waiting to happen. Oh I also forgot, they're also seeking revenge for their loss earlier in the season at Wake. Going against a lot of betting rules if you take Wake Forest today. But then again who the hell knows whats gonna happen anyway? Wake could come out and beat them by 30 and show us that this years Duke team isn't all that they are or were cracked up to be. This to me may be the biggest trap game in a month. Whenever we start talking about teams that have to win they don't. Hard to fathom Coach K losing 3 in a row but the two teams they have lost to are not even half the team Wake is. Yes I am going against trends here but I have a system play on this game which I choose not to share but let's just say that yesterday there were 6 games that fell into this system and they were a perfect 6-0 though I only played 3 of them. You don't even need the points in this one imo. Duke is not as good as everyone thinks. They will be lucky to make sweet 16 imo in the big dance. Wake seems to have been written off due to bad loss to Illini but this team along with Carolina has the best chance of getting to St. Louis. Best of luck.

I think over the total of 160 is a good play for in the last three games between these rivals they have played to scores of 156,174 and 181.I see a game of run and gun and a lotta threes.GL to you on your play and stay hot for it's the time of the year to get a nice run going. Kojak, I just made a call to someone who just does the ACC. He said that Wake could possibly pull the upset but they are playing at Duke. As you know, Duke lost at Wake by 3, which really only fuels the payback. I've seen the line this a.m. go up to 4.5. My friend said that this would be a good game to stay away from but personally, i like the under 161.5 and if anything i might buy 3 pts and get Wake up to at least +7.0. I don't like this play, especially for a large amount. Why risk a lot on a game where you have little edge? Two big teams playing and the line is fairly accurate. Don't know what your negativity towards Duke is about but they are equal to WF imo. Duke was able to beat the best team in the country (N. Carolina is clearly #1) at home just over a week back so I don't see why beating Wake by 5-10 points would be so unlikely. The last loss in double OT against Maryland doesn't concern me as Duke had a couple small leads late but just could not seal the deal. Didn't help when their entire frontcourt was fouled out.

Anywho Duke at home is very hard to beat, don't see the reason of making a large play here. Will play the blue devils for a regular play here.

First I believe too many people are blinded in this game by the fact of revenge, Duke on a two game losing streak, Duke's record in last 7 at home vs Wake, and home court advantage. Besides home court to a small extent, I really don't see too many people talking about matchups. Wake has already proven to be better than Carolina who lost by 1 at Duke, they have already beaten Duke which adds confidence, and Wake is fighting for a #1 seed in ACC and NCAA tournaments. Wake is a fairly deep team while Duke is not deep. Whenever these two teams have gotten together, Duke has gotten into foul trouble. Wake needs a big victory on the road to erase in a lot of people's minds their loss at Illini. They have been flying under the radar since and tonight will represent themselves to a lot of people. Thanks for kind words on St. Mary's but I think those that bet Wake tonight will be very happy they did! Best of luck.

you forget where this game is being played.....wake will be in foul trouble like every team is when they play there, unbelievable how many bs calls duke gets at home......no play for me.

Duke hasn't been a deep team in years. They always play with a short bench and at home where the foul calls are bias it will unlikely come into play.

Wake Forest is in no form or fashion better then North Carolina. I must repeat this.

Home court is more then a small factor. Look at Duke's home record over the past decade, then take a look at their road mark.

We must agree to disagree on this game. While I can fathom someone betting on Wake and accept it, I don't see the need for a big play on either side. Also WF flying under the radar? Their ranked top 5 and have beaten good teams recently. Watched them rip apart FSU by 39 on national TV just a week ago.

I have not forgotten where game is if you read the thread. If you are basing a play on Duke or a non play on Wake on Duke getting fouls at home in their favor in the past is silly. I am not one to try to talk someone into a play because it is your own hard earned money so if you feel it is a non play so be it. Best of luck.

RED EYE, I don't understand why you wouldn't at least take into consideration what has happened in the past when 2 teams such as these play one another. Yes it's true that no one that was playing for either of these teams 7 years ago is with them now, however what that stat shows us is that time and time again Wake Forest has come into Cameron with the likes of Tim Duncan, etc... and for at least the past 7 trips they've gone home a loser. Does that mean it's going to automatically happen tonight or heck, ever again? Who knows. The point is that past results are part of handicapping for the future, no matter how much or how little faith and belief you put into something like that it still counts for something in the end. But if going back 7 years doesn't at least make you think then how about we go back, say, just the past 2 years. Ok, well Duke is 2-0 both straight-up and ATS versus Wake Forest at home in that time frame. Now I'm not the smartest guy but I'd be pretty confident in the fact that at least a couple players from each side that will play tonight played in both those games as well and trust me, they all remember what happened last year and the year before that. Maybe somebody should let them know it doesn't count as anything though right? Good luck to you sir and everyone else that's got action on this one. It honestly could go either way very easily so I'm just hoping to be on the right side in the end.

Wake has the better offensive #' and Duke the better defensive ones. I like Wake's depth and the fact they don't get raddled in close games.

If Wake plays there game, they should pull it out.
