Some books have sharp enough linemakers to make certain kinds of offerings.

Other shops want to make certain offerings but don't have the talent in their organization to make it happen, so they just put up "can't possible lose" numbers.

WW is the later type of shop.

Actually that isn't all that huge. I think it is around 6%. Math guys might want to check for me. I know there are plenty in here.

I definatly know it is less than -115/-115 which you habitually see in real time plays, and most all futures.

That second one (130/-105)though is HUGE, that is at least 8%, again, math guys please proof me.

But because people see the smaller numbers they automatically think better for them.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.

That is another spot where math actually counts in sportsbetting. But it is less math, and more common sense and knowing break points.

BTW those percentages are the holds that a book is taking out (assuming balanced action)

Thats more like it, that is less than 2%, about 1.8 I think at that split. Maybe 1.85.

Basicaly those other places were taking their holds out of the dog side, and not looking to take anything if the fave came in. That is generally what they try to do anyways. But obviously not to that extent.
