Saints retain Michael Thomas. When is the last time he played a full season? 2010?

What do you think of that, Chop?

How about Carr. What do you think about that?

Thomas was a beast for a few years

He absolutey was. With Drew Brees

But look at those last two years. Always hurt. A guy like that hurts the team in my opinion.

The Las Vegas Raiders are sending veteran tight end Darren Waller to the New York Giants, per Ian Rapoport. The Giants are sending the Raiders the third-round pick that they received when they sent wide receiver Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs. It will be No. 100 in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Waller was drafted in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He didn’t initially catch on, but finally broke out in 2019 in his second year with the then-Oakland Raiders. He played in all 16 games that year and brought in 90 of his 117 targets for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns. Waller played in nine games last season and has recently dealt with injuries. He had 388 yards and three touchdowns on 28 receptions in limited work in 2022.

Giants Grade: A

The Giants steal this trade, in my opinion. Yes, Waller has had some injury concerns the last few seasons, but when he is healthy he has developed into one of the top tight ends in the league. Not only does New York bring in a top pass-catcher for the newly extended Daniel Jones, but they get him for multiple years. Waller is under contract through the 2026 season, but the team does have a potential out after the 2023 season if they don’t think it ended up being a good fit.

Raiders Grade: C-

Las Vegas is building for the future, and it feels like they are punting on 2023 already. They franchise-tagged RB Josh Jacobs and continue to work on an extension. Derek Carr is gone, and Jimmy Garoppolo is in. Davante Adams is still in town, but all they got back for Waller is a third-round pick. At the time of this writing, Foster Moreau is a free agent leaving the team’s incumbent tight end up to Jesper Horsted or Cole Fotheringham, and that won’t cut it. The C- grade may be harsh, but it could improve if they don’t squander the selection in the draft.

Cincy isn't f'king around. They signed maybe the best left tackle in the game and I see another OT signing on your list. Joe Burrow with time will be a monster if he retains his receivers.

Good tackle but not great.
Slow feet, will have some trouble against speed rushers on the fast track artificial turf for all those home games.
Overpaid, but yes will help Cincy.

Bears screwed up.
Had $93M in cap space, got 4 starters out of the gate (Edmunds, Edwards, Davis, Walker) then just picked up some back ups.
They still have about $44M in cap space, they could have picked up 3-4 more decent starters but did not act fast enough, now starters in the positions they need are gone.
Need DT and DE, C & OT badly, a TE and RB would help, they cannot get starters for all that from the draft, maybe 2.
IMO some good players do not want to play in Chicago: not looking like a playoff team yet, cold weather, crime in the area.
Bears screwed up.

The Dallas Cowboys have been active this offseason and are adding to it in the trade market. The team has worked out a trade for Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks, per Jeremy Fowler. The Cowboys are sending a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick to the Texans.
Cooks was the Texans’ leading receiver last year, catching 57 passes for 699 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. This marks the fourth time in his career he has been traded. The Saints traded him to the Patriots, the Patriots traded him to the Rams, the Rams traded him to the Texans, and now the Texans have dealt him as he enters the two years of a contract extension.
The Cowboys have been looking for a strong complement to CeeDee Lamb in their wide receiver room. Lamb caught 107 passes for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns last season. The next closest pass catcher was tight end Dalton Schultz, who caught 57 passes for 577 yards and five touchdowns. Noah Brown followed and he has departed in free agency. They’ll look to Cooks to emerge as a strong No. 2 receiver for Dak Prescott.
Cooks’ contract includes $18 million in base salary this year and $13 million next year. The $18 million figure this year is fully guaranteed, but it seems a good bet that is turned into a bonus at some point. The Cowboys entered Sunday with approximately $21 million in cap space, and they’ll need space for their draft picks and any additional work they want to do in free agency.

What's with Cooks? The guy keeps getting traded. It's not like Houston has an overabundance of receivers.

Cooks is very talented but is very very high maintenance, not a team player.
