What has the NFL come to? I remember 30-35 years ago, if you threw for 4000 yards in a season you were practically a superstar. I guess I'm just old school. I am a Bears fan and remember their defenses in the 80's as well as the Giants teams too. Give me a good old fashion 14-10 game any day over these 45-41 games. I sure hope the NFL doesn't turn in to the Arena League. A buddy of mine said after the last Super Bowl "Wasn't that a great game?" I said " I guess, if you like teams going up and down the field at will on each other". As far as the Garoppolo total, who knows. That earlier poster was right. You have to look at their defense, etc. Heck, he has a better chance of getting these yards if the 49er's are lousy and he is passing on every down in the second half to catch up. So who knows, gun to my head, I say the over, just because Vegas made it so high.

what has happened is every possible thing that can be done for offenses to score has been done.if the defense comes up with something in the future to shut offenses down to 17 points a game the rules committee will take it away,its sad to me but whatever

Don't kid yourself, 14-10 games usually suck.

NFL would go out of business if they returned to that level of scoring.
