According to Phil Steele, here are the most difficult and easiest schedules for the coming season. To be honest, I don't know his criteria for selecting each category.

Most Difficult:

1. Washington....2. Arkansas....3. Miami....4. Alabama....5. Kentucky....6. Purdue....7. California....8. Auburn....9. Michigan St....10. Texas A&M....11. Georgia....12. Virginia....13. Maryland....14. Kansas....15. Georgia Tech.

Least Difficult:

129. Marshall....128. UTEP....127. Akron....126. UMass....125. Georgia So....124. ULL....123. Nevada....122. Central Fla....121. Memphis....120. Navy.....119. App St....118. Toledo....117. Charlotte....116. Colorado St....115. East Carolina.

*Six of the fifteen listed under most difficult schedules comes from the SEC.
*Marshall's schedule (may?) put them in a position for a bettors attention.
*Poor Kansas just can't seem to catch a break.
*Time for Terry Bowden (4th year, Akron) to get this team on track. (3-9 ats last year)
*Georgia Tech will have a difficult time duplicating last year's 10-3 ats record.

Marsh will continue to run up scores if they can on these teams....doc likes the attention, they want to play up marsh for potential AAC membership, and doc wants to continue to have his name out there especially if holgs struggles...they have a cupcake schedule...they have all this success because they admit everyone and can take as many props as want...

This means very little. This is all based on last season's regular season results. If you recall, in the post season in the SEC, the West did terrible and the East did very well. I can easily argue that Georgia, with crossover games against both Alabama and Auburn has a much more difficult schedule than Alabama.

Poor Kansas can't catch a break on any front. This is a terrible year to have a tough schedule. Only 8 starters back, new coach, starting QB hurt in spring game. This is going to be a rough season for them. But I hope they give David Beaty a chance there. He is a huge improvement over Weis. He was Mangino's assistant coach, and will bring the fast paced up tempo offense to Kansas.

Hog11, I'm thinking you and I are on the same page for a possible good cover team. I haven't broken down Marshall yet, but I certainly will. I'll take an ATS win any way I can find it. Thanks Bud.

Marshall (129th schedule) should again be a player in the soft CUSA along with Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech. The Herd had some big losses on offense (QB Rakeem Cato, 3903 yards and 40 TDs) and (WR Tommy Shuler, 92 catches, 1138 yards and 10 TDs) but return stud running back Devon Johnson (1767 yards, 17 TDs, 8.6 ypc) and three starters on the O-Line. The defense will need some attention losing 5 of its front 7. The secondary returns intact.

I agree Ground Hog, Holiday will run up the score if given the opportunity. Marshall will definitely be on my ATS radar list.

I think the front runner at qb is birdsong,...he came from jmu...marsh has totally loaded up on the props...It seems like he still has connections to WVU because if a recruit can't get in there, the next week they are enrolling at marsh.....that's what he is banking on....
