Off to an 0-3 start:

It was the first time the Angels were swept in a three-game series to start a season since 1992, by the Chicago White Sox at Anaheim.

they may settle down and go on a run - baseball is a really long season but rough start for sure.

Pujols hit his 507th homer Friday, moving him two behind Gary Sheffield for 24th all-time.

Los Angeles (50-36), the second AL team to 50 wins behind West-leading Oakland, has won 12 of 15 and is in position for its third sweep in five series after Saturday's 11-5 victory. The Angels trailed 5-1 after three innings but hung eight on the Astros (36-53) in the seventh with homers from Pujols, C.J. Cron and David Freese.

The Angels showed again whey they have the best record in the major leagues in moving one step closer to the AL West title that Oakland took the last two years.

On fire-

While Jered Weaver chases an AL-best 17th victory, the Angels will try to move a step closer while securing their first10-game win streak in 12 years Saturday night against the Houston Astros.

Since enduring a two-game sweep in Houston to begin this month, Los Angeles (92-55) has batted .328 and scored 81 runs in its nine consecutive wins. The Angels have scored at least seven runs in each of their last eight - matching a franchise record from 1979 - after opening the homestand with an 11-3 rout Friday.
