Well the talk will all be about CC, and we know the nasal issues is behind him, so on to the race topics....

Ring weekend will not be shipping to Belmont, not that he was a threat in any way, but came out of the race pretty stressed, and lost some weight, will be shooting him for some 3 year old races down the road...

Share your information, and as of now, I say CC get beat and does not win the triple crown, but we have some time to go.....

Its never too early too look at trends & discuss the TC race. Its always more exciting having a horse like Chrome win the first two jewels only to get everyone excited about the possibilty !

Let's look at some trends:

The favorite has lost the past 8 Belmont Stakes races

The favorite has only won 3 of past 19 Belmont races

Doesn't bode well at all for Chrome but I still think he wins it :)

Since the triple crown has started.........

7 or less starters: 9 for 13

8 or more starters: 2 for 12

9 or more starters: 0 for 9 (this doesn't bode well for Chrome at all)

Danza has been scratched from Belmont race......Pletcher wasn't happy with his weight loss after the derby.

Hall of Famer John Velazquez will be aboard Preakness runner-up Ride On Curlin in the June 7 Belmont Stakes after Joel Rosario opted to ride Peter Pan winner Tonalist, trainer Bronco Billy Gowan said Tuesday.

As of now, I'm looking to play a triple key:

Chrome with Wicked Strong/Ride Curlin

Wicked is gonna be fresh so he will definitely fire coming around the last turn but won't be enough to catch Chrome. I think Wicked passes ROC to get up for 2nd. Also, Wicked loves the NY tracks.

As for Social Inclusion, I give him no shot of even showing up in the money, he will fold like a cheap suit.

General A Rod is no match to hit the board as well IMO........only horse I want to look at carefully is Tonalist.........

I don't think Intense Holiday has much to offer......although he has enough rest, he has looked terrible over the Belmont track early in his career & hasn't shown much improvement if you ask me.

The other horses are complete toss outs

Intense Holiday was scratched due to an injury he suffered while working out.

The list keeps getting reduced........

Terrible betting race; I can't get past the top three ML choices. If CC looks bad in the parade, I'll box 9-11 in the exacta; looks like 11-1-9 to me and cheap payouts all around.

So you should know that since 1978 (36 years) when Affirmed won the last Triple Crown there have been 11 horses who were eligible going into the Belmont. Of course they all came with the California Chrome hype. All 11 failed.

Yup. Big Brown was a mortal lock, Smarty was supposed to get it done, War Emblem was going to get the lead out of the gate etc, etc. Even if CalC is the most talented horse in race, no way is he a 3/5 cinch. At best I would give CC the same chance as Funny Cide had. Forget his PT odds but no way was it 3/5. FWIW, I think you get at least even odds on CC Sat. if you are sticking with him.
