2008 Heisman Trophy Winner: Dark Horse?

Yes I'm a Penn State fan but how about Daryll Clark?

In 4 games he has completed 63% of his passes, thrown for 896 yards, 9 TD's and 1 INT. He's also ran for 131 yards and 3 touchdowns.

If PSU can be as good as they look then he should have a chance. He's putting up great numbers and looked great on National TV this Saturday.

Wonder if there are any odds on it. I would maybe toss a couple dollars at it.

Yes this is a homer bust but he is deserving of a mention after his start.

Going to consider it. This kid is a play maker. He can pass on the run and actually is a much better passer than I thought he'd be coming into the season.

I couldn't be more excited knowing that he earned an extra year of eligibility because of his grades. He's only a junior in football terms.

Scary to think how good this team could be this year and then think they may be better next year. Outside of their receiving core they're a very young team.

Wonder what the odds would be. 100-1? I'm not very good at setting those things. Maybe better?

Oh and let me add to all the USC fans that were saying they weren't good and hadn't played anyone. I personally think that PSU is better than USC right now. Just my opinion. I think PSU could have manhandled OSU, at PSU, without Beanie Wells exactly the same way that USC did. I guess we'll see but I think they're a better team.

If PSU loses to OSU, so be it, but I don't want to hear you ranting about how you beat them because you'll have beaten a completely different team.

Also. Can someone tell me why OSU dropped 10 spots in the rankings after they got beaten badly by the number one team in the country at their stadium, but USC loses to an unranked team on the road and stays in the top 10? Confusing stuff.

considering that it has taken him 5 games to do what chase daniel has done in any of his 3 games, save your futures money or put it on a possible contender. i do like your boy though, he just isnt at the frontrunners level yet.

Yeah I agree with you completely. I just think that if I can get some good odds I should take a shot. Daniels could go down, or Missouri could lose and then the door is open to anyone.

Daniels does have some unreal numbers so we'll see. Clarke definitely a dark horse for next season.

I also think PSU is a contender. Think they have a better chance of being in the top 4 at years end than Mizzou.

exactly, I fell out of my chair when I saw Mizzou -10. 30 years of frustration about to go down the drain. Mizzou wins by 30+, I like this game even more than I liked Ole Miss +23 vs. Florida

Daniel 18/23 for 253 with 3 TDs & 0 ints. Ironically, the total opened at 69 & they landed right on it.

It's going to take years to reverse the damage that Callahan did to this Nebraska defense.
