Year in and year out, there is only one school that consistently has one of the Top 10 toughest schedules in the nation and that is Notre Dame. Michigan, Purdue, and USC are always on the ND schedule and you will never see them play a I-AA or Sunbelt Conference team.
Hines, that would seem correct....but ND's schedule is mis-leading. Many of their opponents have "history", but are not currently at the top of their game. In fact, until Pete Carroll arrived at USC they haven't had much for the previous 10 years. Purdue? Navy? Might as well be a 1-AA team (until the last two years). And, while we're on that topic, ND hasn't put a lot of fear into opponents since 1993.
As I posted earlier, how in the world is UF's schedule 27th?
UF plays:
Wyoming & FSU (out of conference)
Tennessee
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
South Carolina (and former coach Steve Spurrier)
Miss State (who beat UF last year)
That's EIGHT tough games out of 11.
How CBS Sportsline came up with that formula?? It's a total JOKE! North Carolina? ACC schedule? That's another JOKE! Sure, they are better than they were without Miami, BC, and VT....but c'mon!
