This is ****ing ridiculous. The forum time is off by atleast a minute & a half as every clock I had cleary had it at 7 PM & this forum doesn't.

Hopefully next time clear contest rules will be had from the beginning instead of being changed here & there because of cheaters & other bs.

If you choose to post as close to the cutoff time as possible, for whatever the reason, you run the risk of having selections disregarded as past post plays. The rule is simple and clear and has been applied in a uniform manner since the start of the contest. If you choose to submit more than six selections each day, any selections beyond the first six will be disregarded. This rule is also simple and clear and has been applied in a uniform manner since the start of the contest. The fact that the seventh and eighth selections were conditional on the first and second selections being past post does not matter. A conditional selection is not one of the permitted types of selection in the contest rules.

The rules for this contest were set out in October and have been substantially unchanged since the inception of the contest. The change in the cutoff times in November was made based on the discovery of a potential problem with edited posts; there was never any evidence that contestants exploited this flaw. When the cutoff times were amended, the rationale was explained, both in terms of the technical reason and in terms of maintaining fairness. A clarification of correcting posts was made in February because a number of contestants were abusing this feature of the contest. The initial rules described the intent of the correcting post, but it became necessary to put time-specific bounds on this to better ensure that the corrections made by the contestants were consistent with the intent of the rules.

The contest has rules that are very clear and very specific, but it also has some rules where contestant intent is taken into account, such as editing of posts and correction posts. It is far simpler to disregard intent and impose strict rules, such as automatic disqualification for edited posts and to no longer allow correction posts. If the rules are continually pushed and prodded for loopholes, the easiest solution is absolute and specific rules.

The vast majority of the participants in this contest have unfailingly worked within the rules and the intent of the rules. It is absolutely unfair to every other contestant to bend the rules because a contestant who habitually posts as close as possible to the cutoff time missed for a couple of nights in a week. You really need to take that into account before you go off slamming the rules, the other contestants and the administrators of this contest.

No offense but save the PR response for someone else. You make it sound like the contest rules were established without problem when you know that wasn't the case as every other day at first it was being changed. I've run contests before so I have a good concept of how things should be done.

When I choose to post is my business but when I've come in here of late & the forums take forever to load after 6:30 PM EST I don't feel any of us should be punished for that problem.

I don't ask for the rules to be bent, I ask that next time people actually properly plan something before doing it when clearly there was no proper planning as rules were being changed left & right then months later in your own words ("clarification of correcting posts was made in February")is when you choose to clarify something?

Oh & learn to reread something as I'm not attacking other contestants but the circus like atmosphere in which this contest has been run. Maybe admins should ask people who have run big successful contests before just throwing something up.

Jeff you are absolutely correct, EverygamblersDreams just stays at home all day and posts his plays to the LAST SECOND...always! I've never seen him post 5 mins before the 7:00pm EST game, he just follows line moves that is why

That was an error on my part; I will make the adjustments for both the side and total in that game when I post the March 13th results.

Yep you know exactly what I do all day Ivan. You are a clown & have proven it. Just think why alot don't take you seriously.

Are you still frustrated you couldn't get your $25 freebie for posting so much?

Oh yeah I follow line moves considering alot of my plays are against them.

You are a piece of work Ivan.

Go find a sport to cry about leaving to the playoffs because wins didn't come your way.

Your sig says it all about you.
