Playing an angle where LaSalle margin of point difference average this season is substantially greater in the 1st half in a number of situations. These include playing as a favorite (37.2 points scored in 1st Half to giving up a 30.2), whereas St. Louis avg (23.9 and gives up 28.8 as an underdog)...others are the margin of difference playing at neutral court sites (LaSalle 35.2-30.8 and STL 26.0-27.5). When you look at these exact situational trends for the 2nd half, they are almost in reverse order. For example, Lasalle as a favorite in the 2nd half score 38.6-give up 38.5, and as an underdog STL 2nd half score 31.2 and give up 30.8. Not to mention at neutral court sites, 2nd half LaSalle's margin 34.0-39.8 and STL 32.5-31.0. Both teams are close to even as far as conference play is concerned. If you have followed LaSalle's schedule, you will know they have performed well and better than STL on all counts in the last 5. And lastly, I feel that Rick Majerus used to attract public appeal and some square plays. He has had that going for him since earning his credibility when he was at Utah.
Take it for what its worth, but it stood out to me better than anything else I was able to uncover following this game. I'm a 1-5 unit guy, and will make this one a mderate play.
1st half LaSalle -2 3 units
