another post got me thinking about this and I wanted to put a spin on it and go from there. 16 total members in the contest, each buys in for $50. Starting week 1 you pick a qb, rb, wr, and te using standard scoring and ppr. The player that finishes with the least points in the contest is eliminated and the 15 advance to the next week. it will continue to week 16 where you will have the final 2 players left. we could offer each team a bye for 1 week, up until week 8, if they don't want to play 1 week or forget to submit a lineup once.

if people are interested, id like to add this on, as I only plan to run 1 fantasy football league on here.

You can only pick each player once?

What about ties for last?

yes, only use 1 player once. tiebreaker to me would be, of the 2 teams tied to be eliminated, whoever had the single player score the most points that week advances.

I mean, theoretically it's possible that the two teams that tie for last had the exact same roster. That's what I'm getting at.

You could either have them both be eliminated, or go with the person who has the least total points for the life of the contest. Only way you'd be screwed is if it happened week 1, which is highly unlikely.

How do you propose to handle the scoring and such? Just an excel sheet? Seems complicated...

that's very true, it would be rather shocking, just by the sheer # of options and previous eliminated players for 2 teams to end up at the exact same roster, if that's the case, could use a standard combined score of Monday night football as an elimination, but honestly, I don't see it getting to that

ill make all rosters do by 8pm Saturday night, and with leagues and websites it will be easy to track players stats and go from there. come sunday morning ill post the roster for each team and the scoring system will be well established, other members of the contest can help score and ill post final totals per team and if there is any discrepancy, we can handle it. I think it will be rather easy to score

I'll play.

decide tiebreakers now....if the miracle happens and everything is the same (same roster, same total points)....both advance and 2 eliminated the following week (lower of those two first, then lowest score of week of the remaining)

You can only select players once for the whole year?

Sounds like a huge amount of work to just play in it, let alone run it.

If you figure out an easy way of tracking who everyone has picked, I would probably need to get in.
