We're forecasting the unbeaten LA Lakers to continue on their winning ways tonight when they take on the reigning champion San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs are banged up right now with two-time MVP Tim Duncan out with a ankle sprain and starting point guard Tony Parker yet to play this season. They are a mere shadow of the team that went all the way last season and in their most recent game struggled to get past the woeful Miami Heat.

Meantime the Lakers have disproved the theory they would take some time to gel this season due to the addition of future Hall-of-Famers Karl Malone and Gary Payton and the injury interrupted preparation of Kobe Bryant. They are off to a 4-0 start and are already drawing comparisons to the record-setting Chicago Bulls of the mid-90's. The Lakers will have revenge on their mind tonight having been knocked out of the play-offs by the Spurs last season.

It's rare for us to recommend a heavy road favorite but in tonight's nationally televised game we expect the Lakers to make a statement and post a double-digit victory.

Recommended Play: Lakers -9.5

Good luck
